just looking at the standings for NBA...it's amazing how the top 3 east teams are so close to each other and from 4-8 way way way out there while on the west coast everyone is pretty much fighting for spot 3 - 8

Planning for the future and hoping to get lucky and still win now. It was a gamble to try and get more offense to win right now, but they knew it was a good move for the future. It cleared up so much space for them in the next two years of free agency with so many big names that will be available. Bosh would be a good fit there and my family up there says the word in Detroit is that they really want him. Stuckey is going to be a solid PG possibly even a great one. They have to get younger down low though and I can definitely see why they needed to get ready to get Boozer, Bosh, or Amare. I have learned not to judge Dumars and the moves he makes until later on for instance the Rip Hamilton move. Nobody could have thought he would prosper like he has in Detroit. Even getting Billups at the start was a gamble with his history. He is a great GM and you can't go to the Eastern Conference finals every year and get no new blood in there. He had to juggle things around we will see how it turns out.
