    The NBA cant be predicted
The Heat lose to the Kings last night with LeBron, now they will beat one of the best home teams with him. How can anyone come out winning betting NBA?

Yeah star is out angle in first gm is free money far more often than not. Took Heat at +5.5 and was never really worried. Nba does have some tendencies and patterns you just have to pay attention harder. But yes it is a poor product and seems crooked as hell at times.

82 freakin games, hard to predict effort. Then again, only 16 in Football, and we know what happens every week over there.

1 easy bet tonight, and not just b/c it cashed easy, was Heat 2nd 1/2 under 104.5. They were not going to let the Blazers run wild after
that shitty 1st 1/2 effort. Loved it, screened it, and missed it.

Nothing is black and white, everything and anything will affect the game outcome...from a player's gas to the refs exhaustion.

If it was that predictable, everyone would be a winner.

Stop thinking a game has a bearing on the way that team will play in the next game.

Stop thinking injuries matter at least in the first couple games the player is out.

I joined this site specifically to vent. Worst beat of my career. I went "all in" on a moneyline parlay of UCLA & Portland. Thought for sure Heat being the 2nd of a back-back, Lebron out, plus the Blazers in the Rose Garden would have been an easy win. Worst loss of my career. I didnt think Portland would cover (hence the ML), but thought for sure they'd win. I never bet point spreads in the NBA, strictly ML favorites or underdogs. Its a strategy that has worked pretty well until tonight.

Your first problem is that you went "all in" on anything. Granted, every gambler has probably learnt this the hard way.

Your second problem is that of all the games today (and there were 12 freakin' games), you chose one where you didn't even think the team you picked would cover. The spread was only 5-6 depending on what line you got which meant you thought it was going to be a close game the whole way through.

Your third problem is that you picked a game where both teams have winning records. Why the hell would you want to bet against a team with a WINNING record if you're betting the moneyline? You could've picked Indiana against Brooklyn, Houston against New Orleans, Minny against Milwaukee, Phoenix against Philly, Clippers against Utah = all winning teams against losing teams.

Lastly, there's no point moaning about it now. All you can do is move on and make sure you don't make the same mistake in the future.

Most of those other games I would have picked did not have moneylines posted. Bovada apparently really sucks compared to other places because they only post MLs for certain games - not all of them. But I agree there were better games to pick. I typically dont bet ML's favorites on road teams though, so that already limits what I can pick from. I usually pick a home, moneyline favorite that is a good team. I also factor in other teams if they are on a 2nd of back-back. Lebron being out was huge factor for me. If he wasnt out, I wouldnt have bet it.

I got burned a few weeks ago betting on Golden State at home vs the Spurs who were resting guys on the 2nd of a back-back. Sometimes it backfires, i cant explain it. Sucks.
