Memphis made the plays down the stretch. Playoffs again for the Grizzlies.

I thought Suns would make the plays at home tonight with their season on the line. Took a bit of a leap of faith there I suppose. I'm not watching but it doesn't seem like they choked. Seems like Grizzlies just we're better.

I actually don't follow as much as I used to as far as watching tons of games. More of just a fan of my team atm, but I think I'll eventually get back into it more.

Honestly I wouldn't even watch lol. It just caught my eye.

Yea Suns made a run just as I thought they would. Grizzlies just were too strong in the end. Suns were right there but Memphis is in a class above them. Simple as that.

There wasn't much in this one. For the first time I kinda feel sorry for the Suns lol. But at the end of the day you get to see the 8 best teams in the playoffs which is all you can ask for I guess.

Not much to get excited about on Wednesday then. Couple of games playing for positioning but you never really know which teams care about that and which don't. Probably best to lay off til Saturday when the real thing starts.

They missed a lot of open 3's and had no one to stop Z-Bo. They should have won but its baskets anyway.

I guess I'll just layoff until playoffs unless something really good like the wizards come up.

Like I posted in another thread, nobody should wanna see Memphis first round. They won't beat SA or OKC but they will grind for sure and throw some proverbial punches

Yeah especially as both teams got swept by the Spurs in the season series. Mavs have lost 9 straight to the Spurs and Grizz have lost at least 8 with this year and last year's playoffs... I'd imagine neither team wants any part of the Spurs.

There has been some talk about the Mavs not wanting to rest guys playing only once this week anyway but I'm not sure, they have a lot of old guys. Especially as Dirk had a minor ankle injury v Suns (apparently nothing but ).

It is probably the most meaningful game of the day for sure. Other than maybe the Cats and Wizards fighting to avoid Miami in the 1st round.

If I'm Memphis I try to avoid Spurs and play OKC based on last year.

If I'm Dallas, I feel pretty good about crushing the Thunder on the road a month or two ago.

I hope and expect both teams to play everyone.

I agree. It's funny how last year the final game of the season between the Lakers and Houston was all about avoiding the Thunder and playing the Spurs and this year it's the exact opposite.

I really don't want to see the Mavs get swept by the Spurs losing the 4 games by an average of 15 points.

I don't but I'm still looking forward to those games. Always tough to win at Oracle so I'm not completely counting GS out but I really think the Clips are in for a good run this year. Of course it looks like they'll play OKC w/o homecourt in the 2nd round which will be tough.

I guess I am the one person who can't give the Clippers any credit. I know they have made several improvements this year, especially having Doc as head coach now, but they're just a playoff let-down team to me. I think GSW can give them a good series and potentially win. I'm definitely excited for it.

I'll never forget how much money I lost backing them v Memphis last year (basically everything I won backing GS against the fraud Nuggets who won 57 games just because NBA teams don't get back on defense in the regular season) but I think they are a completely different team this year. Griffin is healthy and a much evolved player, obviously having Doc is huge... A lot of guys have matured too may not show in their numbers but players like Jamal Crawford or Darren Collison that I've never been a big fan of seem like much better players this year to me.

I like it to go the distance. Houston is more talented but Howard is a pussy and Harden hasn't proven anything at playoff level as the best player on a team so I think the Blazers can give them fits. Portland has a great homecourt too where it will be tough for Houston to win.

I don't think I'll be making many series bets this year at least not in the 1st round. Gonna do more game by game.

Yes I do like Memphis. I think they are a better team than the Mavs. Dallas has beaten them three times this season but this is a different Grizzlies team. It took the entire year for it all to come together for them but they are in form just in time.
