Orlando 1st QTR is looking pretty hot.
- First off overall Magic are the 4th best 1st QTR team in the NBA winning 63% of them. Denver is in 11th place and also has a good record at 55%.
- However, there seems to be a significant Home/Road difference in 1st QTR wins, Orlando have are 8-2 in their last 10 home 1st QTR games, the two losses were to Cleveland and Boston so we shouldn't be worried by that as games between the big teams can go anyway. What this stat shows is consistency in the early parts of games for Magic at home. Away they are 6-4 in their last 10 games and have had slip ups against some of the worst 1st QTR teams like Miami Heat.
- Denver is 5-3 away with 2 draws. The losses have been against Memphis, Toronto and Atlanta, they drew against Houston and New York. At home they are, 6-3 and 1 draw. One of those loses was to Magic. They're slightly better at home.
- Last match, Magic beat Denver 1st QTR.
- Denver are 3-10 when an underdog.
Magic -1.5 QTR looks a good bet.
76ers also is a good 1st QTR but at -3.5 I think the line is a little high.
You might want to look at Bobcats 1st QTR -1.5 @ home against the Wizards, Boston have been great 1st QTR recently and Houston 1st QTR @ home.Comment -
stop giving away the vig!! i used to be an action player - 15-20 games a day - you had to see my card on college saturdays. pure insanity. think of it this way. is it more do-able to hit 60% playing 500 games per season or 1000? do the math.
in turn, i now play the games i really like larger than the others. so i can be 50% for the month, but still make money if my "big" plays hit - conversely, i can lose money if im hitting 55-60% if the big ones dont come in. but id rather gamble like that than give away all that vig on so many games.
the action is awesome - trust me i get ansy watching you guys bet so many games - but i'm in this to make money now that ive found such a solid thread of cappers.
hockeytown said it best - this place should bring out the best in everyone - who the hell wants to give out crap plays with 5000 viewers on this thread each day? i for one know that posting here has made me put in more reserach than what i used to.Comment -

i have to drop a quick note here to commend cheesehead - him and i are in a neck and neck battle in this tourney with him 63% to my 62% - he and everyone knows my plays are booked first thing in the am - so after posting my 3 plays for today, he could have easily turned this into a chess match and take the exact games i had - instead, he made his normal plays just as i would have done. kudos to cheesehead for the way he approached this

Wizards are 2-8 away in 1st QTR's over last 10 matches.
Bobcats are 7-3 last 10 games @ Home even beating the mighty Celtics.
Wizards are overall worst team in the NBA 1st QTR wise, they're even worse away, Bobcats are doing well at home in the beginning of matches at least.Comment -

Interestingly enough, I was able to get Boston at -6.5 as was my original projection by simply waiting it out. They still have to win by 8 though, but I am glad that the line fell to excatly where I wanted it to be. Chris paul playing is of no consequence, as he has been out of th lineup for 4 games and there will be minute mixing galore in this game, so i am still rolling with the Celtics and I don't have to buy any points on this one. i am playing it straight up at 6.5 because i believe fully that the Celtics are 4 baskets better than them. My Secret Plays have been made already, and I will wait until right before gametime to play Utah as there is a lot of weird shit going on with that line. I also have not play Portland yet but i will do so around 6:30 or so.Comment -
