•• > ESPN: "Kobe Bryant is NBA 25th best player"…Ouch!!
    so let me see...*

    LEBRON JAMES: No.1

    kobie bryant: no.25
    **

a few people here at SBR were saying this last year..
(i guess we are slightly ahead of ESPN)

you can be sure that Kobe will unwisely rush his healing process even more..
probably resulting in yet another injury.*

i will tell you what is an absolute first in NBA history:

that a player ranking as low as 25th would ironically happen
    to be have*the No.1 Salary:

    $30,000,000

Wow...is all I can say. 25th? That's a stunning indictment on the legacy of Kobe. I suppose we should not be surprised...They only gave him one MVP and that was one more than he deserved....This will angry Kobe to no end...I agree Ratzz, he will rush back early to prove his naysayers wrong...and aggravate the other Achilles...

Its staggering...when you think about it....but even more surprising is the fact that he will ask for something close to that on his next contract as well....further putting a stranglehold Kutpcheck for deeper free agent signings

Just because it was said, does not mean it is true. Don't let your Laker hate blind you...

Kobe easily still top 10 in the NBA.

Kobe clear #2 off guard in the NBA (behind the beard).

If they were to select a USA Olympic team right now (assuming every player is healthy and available) there is no chance Kobe is not one of the very first selected.

LOL....nonsense......Wade shot 50 percent from the field last year..he was the best #2 in the league until he blew out his knees chasing the streak... I would put Harden and Paul George ahead of Kobe...and if we including the 1...I would bump Kobe behind Curry and Westbrook....there is no excuse for a 34 year SG with two 7 footers on his team to be averaging 21 attempts per game while shooting 46 percent from the field.....and his defense is the worst of any guard in the league....Kobe has no business being in the top ten....start watching these games....this man is about to break the NBA all time record for missed shots..and given the fact that most return players from Achilles injuries become jump shooters...he should have the record within two weeks of his return....I just hope Nick "The Green Light" Young does not get jealous...he has aspirations about surpassing the record himself.....

Start watching the games? I watch almost every game of the regular season and play-offs. I invest heavily in the NBA both with time and money. And in case your not aware, George is a SF and Curry and Westbrook are PG's. I said Kobe is #2 off guard behind the beard. D-Wade has faded so much he isn't even in the conversation of best shooting guards and there has never been a single season in his career that he has been better than Kobe - ever. He has always been the brides maid.

In the last decade Kobe has made 8 all defence 1st teams, and you claim he is the worst guard in the league.
Another Kobe hater with no rational arguments just angry statements.

                -500 your a Miami fan.

Let me guess, your another Miami fan who doesn't actually live in Florida and thinks that Chris Bosh is actually a good guy and that the sun shines out of D-Wades arse and is incapable of intelligent discussion on any subject that involves Kobe, Lebron, or D-Wade??

Raztz, are you watching this? I just told this fella Wade shot 50 percent from the field...and he responded by saying Kobe was all defensive team the last 8 years....LOL......Wade has not regressed, his knees had to be drained sometimes twice a night during the playoffs...you cannot shoot above 50 percent from the field if you have regressed....Wade's health is an issue...not his skill....

I do not believe you watch the games..because..if you indeed watch the games as you claim, you would know Kobe does not play defense..and hasn't for several years... all defensive team eh? Sounds like you are following the NARRATIVE like most kobetards do....your de-brainwashing begins now....tune in all year....there will plenty of learning available for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear...take the red pill....if you dare...LOL

Kobe is not in the Top 20 because of his overall effect on the game, and the mindset of his teammates. He does not pass the ball, or use any energy on defense. He willfully drags everybody on his personal trip to surpass Michael Jordan in scoring. His teammates literally have no or little incentive to play hard (impossible to win without that)

Kobe understands that the Scoring goal is closer and more manageable than the Elusive 6th Ring.
Every point he scores is part of his permanent record. If Kobe scores 40 Pts in a loss. He STILL gets the 40 PTS.

IF the LA Kobers get to the Finals and lose, Kobe gets nothing. he is still at 5.0 Rings..
                      not.. 5.75 or 5.50 Rings..*

thus his focus becomes "points only". Which is not fair to anyone,
most of all his teammates and the city of Los Angeles.

it is for that reason, that he must be evaluated so low. He is not a team player.
he credits no one but himself for the victories. and is the quickest to point a finger in a loss.
He never shies away from calling out a teammate in the media..

to Gasol: "time to put on your Big Boy pants" (that is how you berate a child)

to Dwight: "we don't have time for his shoulder to heal"
(that is how one accuses another of faking an injury)*

it's bogus, Kobe is bogus. Great player, but terrible teammate. Which is why he has a SINGLE League MVP in 17 years.

LeBron has 4 in 10 yrs.

They both have TWO Finals MVP Trophies. (those two categories of MVP are the ones that matter most)
The overall League and Finals MVP awards.

Followed by Defensive Player of the Year.

Ok let's just just agree to disagree, and I apologise for being rude. I don't hate Miami nor D-Wade, and I am not a full blown Kobe homer, but I am a big fan.

Its funny we're exchanging polite comments in the other thread and attacking each other in this one.

personally, i had Kobe way down last year; judging from lack of defensive presence,
and a lack of ball movement that even the commentators point out (LIVE during game).

Please take note that Kobe is not listed as "25 most Flashy".. or "25th most Whiny"
in the event, he obviously (and deservedly) would place much higher*

I do not believe Kobe skills have diminished at all....I fully expect him to play until at least 40....we criticize Kobe for his on the court behavior...and his lack of defense.....which is a CHOICE on his part...he would rather conserve his energy for offense...and that is a SELFISH move...

The list is irrelevant it means absolutely nothing. Just as Sando pointed out "Just because it was said, does not mean it is true"
You speak as if since ESPN said it then it must be fact! If you truly believe that then you truly believe that Kobe is one of the all-time greats because there are plenty of list out there by so called "experts" that claim that as well. They said it so it must be true right??

this list is obviously placing high consideration on kobes injury
to ignore that and use previous stats and merit would not make much sense

maybe he will be the kobe of old or maybe not
                                      nobody knows ..............

You speak as if since ESPN said it then it must be fact! If you truly believe that then you truly believe that Kobe is one of the all-time greats because there are plenty of list out there by so called "experts" that claim that as well. They said it so it must be true right??
                                        nope.

ESPN is not a single individual. It is a panel of EXPERTS. Period.
This is not a band of Kobe-Haters.. that is not a panel of Ratzz, Menses, (biased hatred)
or Hotelis.. JSmith.. (unbiased but cats that call it like it is)
and a few other visionaries that understood a long time ago that Kobe is completely washed up.

For ESPN to go there, i am certain that half of them are HUGE Kobe-nut-hugging fans..
it probably KILLED them to come out with that, but their jobs depend on their performance. SO THEY MUST.

Kobe is not even in the Top 20...
                                        *and it IS FACT NOW.

the first laffer is that a $30,000,000 SALARY is NOT even in the TOP TWO DOZEN PLAYERZZ..
and the second laffer is that the best player on the team is the 25th best player in the league!!

we were right all along. Kobe is W-A-S-H-E-D *U-P.

BUT the Lakers WILL resign him for a fortune.
                                        $20M minimum, more 2-3 yrs.

maybe your children will one day see the Lakers in the playoffs again. .
