Wizzle's 2013 NBA Playoff Thread

After a pretty horrendous regular season, I am going to start a thread for the playoffs. I hope that this thread doesn't get infested with trolls like the last one but hopefully winning will take care of that.

Had a very good run around here with my postseason threads the last few years. Obviously that means nothing right now but I think I have a pretty good feel for how these games usually go.

As always, would like to get some basketball discussion in here. I will try to post my plays with at least somewhat of a write-up.

First play I'm liking is Knicks in the early game. Good luck to everyone.

Knicks -7.5 -107 (4x)

Expect MSG to be electric and the Knicks to play a great game today. Even though they have made the playoffs the last couple years, this is the first time the Knicks have a legitimate shot to make a run. Boston is a veteran team. They know it's a long series and won't panic if this game gets out of hand. I see New York winning and covering today but if that happens I will likely take Boston +points in game 2.

Good luck on the playoffs Wiz. Hard time getting a read on all these game 1's. Went with Boston 1H, I think they hang early.

Speedy yea for the most part it's probably better to take it easy on the Game 1s. I like Warriors +7.5 and also the first half +4. I think Bulls +4.5 is good but might pass there. Also like the Grizzlies in Game 1.

Dude, what the hell are you talking about??? My thank you was sincere dumbazz! I bought the hook and I wanted to say thanks to Twizz for pushing me to take NY! I was going to go Boston, but in the end I heard the Boston backers where LUCKY as HELL to cash those tickets. I didn't watch the game. But dude, your obviously didn't understand my post then. It's like in Tennis, which I cap on this site. If I throw a parlay down on 3 players and one guy tails me on just the ONE player he liked and he wins........... I would be happy as hell for him and I would appreciate a post saying thank you on that one guy that "I" took bec he won for me. How on earth would I take that as "saying thank you for a losing play"??? You obviously didn't understand pretty much anything I wrote or WHY. I hope K. Heinrich is ok.. Because i fell like to double Bulls on 2nd game, i expect Bulls playing more AGRESSIVE, and Nets playing SOFT, thinking it is piece of cake.

I think Clippers win the first game and Memphis wins the second game.

Memphis will stink it up one night and then pound the team the next game.

The Grizzlies most likely have the mind set that they need a split like most NBA teams. I wouldn't be surprised to see LA shoot well tonight, win comfortably, and then turn around and lose game two.

We shall see. I'm feeling LA and the over. GL to whatever everyone plays.

Yeah. Kind of get the feeling Clipps get up and down and hit their shots. If Grizz can guard the perimeter and keep it in the halfcourt they should cover. I just need them to win for last leg in Brook ML/Clipps ML parlay. Square, but oh well.

That's part of the reason I liked the over. Half court game favors Memphis.

Tough night but pretty close to being a good night with the loss on the hook with Knicks and barely missing that middle on Denver.

Originally liked the Hawks today because of how bad Indiana looked coming into the playoffs but starting to think Pacers win big. Will post a play soon.

Was originally going to fade Indiana with how they looked heading into the postseason but they probably just didn't really care about those final few games. Got caught looking ahead to the playoffs and played like shit but I expect them to come out focused and ready today. They will take care of business against an inferior Atlanta squad today.
