when we have a situation where it's two "A" bets opposing ?


Ex. S2 - cleveland fade ( A Bet) play is Atlanta

S4- Atlanta fade (A Bet) play is Cleveland

From my experienced, I would play the S4 any day. We have never reach a "D bet" yet for any S3 or S4 so...
It's up to you thou, so don't listen to me. $hit might just happen cause I opened my big mouth.

Its not just about consensus. The books try to make it even money on both sides so they collect on the juice no matter what happens. If someone made a big bet on one side it can change the line.

For example, If Mia was at -7.5 and someone place a million dollar bet on them, than it will go to -8 or +8 on the other side, so that more people bet against Mia. If someone placed a big bet on Detroit, than Mia's line may drop from -7.5 to -7 to even out the money.

Consensus does not always equal the most money which is why line movements change in weird directions at times.

From my experience 5dimes is one of the more "bettor friendly" sites with better lines...but like others have said, maybe someone with a large 5dimes account just hammered Detroit?

we are all concerned and freaking out over the S1 (det fade) D bet, but I'm also equally as concerned about the S1 (SAS fade) C bet as well, I'm not really liking Houston +8 here...but I'll follow the system regardless.

What consensus are you using? If you are using covers consensus it is only around 50,000 players accounted for in it. Does not take into account phone wagers etc. It gives a pretty accurate stand point on where the public money is at, but its not exact. One big wager could change a lot of things for the books.

no. consensus numbers are based on number of bets on each side, not the amount of $$$. The line doesn't necessarily move in the same direction as the consensus.

You can pay for services which tell you the percentage of bets and $$ on each side, but I'm not sure how accurate they are.

Because we all expected the line to increase because most people feel houston will get beat by more than 8, therefore we wanted to lock in -7.5 before it became -8.5, -9, or -9.5

No1 can answer that question for you. It all depends on who is pounding on which team. This is how the line will move and it's up to you to decide. It's only a "C bet", if I were you I would be worry about the S1 "D bet" lol, but that's just me BOL to everyone today
