Cowboys @ Broncos

Broncos looked good in round 1, however alot of that was simply how bad the doggies were. I do not expect the Broncos to be a top 8 team this season. The Cowboys have shed the "little brother" tag and are clearly the #1 team in QLD. I expect them to show it tonight, and to come out firing after a horrible and lethargic opening against the Raiders last week, in a match where they should have easily covered the -9.5/ Broncos with the NRL's least experience halves pairing (playing out of position) and they showed it in round 1. They are coming up against the world's finest playmaker (JT) who was red hot in round 1. Broncos have a nice pack, however the Cowboys are led by the Australian front row of Tamou and Scott and with rising star Taumololo, who was unstoppable in round 1. In fact if I could find any Taumololo run metres prop's I would be all over them. Have had my eye on this kid since the back end of last season.

I expect the Roosters to muscle up this week after they got ambushed in round 1 - no SBW means less offloads and less opportunities for 2nd phase play.

8.5 is going to be hard to cover in the weather we're having over here at the moment! Any one from Auckland here? I'm 2 hours down the road and it's ridiculous here, 40-50km/h winds and pouring rain, I can't imagine Auckland's much different. The total looks tough to get over in these conditions also.

Trying to find out if it's hit Wellington yet also as the super rugby game there tonight is 49.5 at the moment, insane if this weathers started to hit there yet.

It's a cyclone hitting so it's swirling different directions all over the country, coming out of the east here but it could be anywhere from there to the north west in the next few hours.

There wouldn't be an issue if it was just the rain but the winds are very strong, Eden Park is a protected a bit with big stands but it'll still get in there. Mt Smart would be a sight for a league game today!
