#500Taranaki will win imo, massive motivation to take something away from the season after losing the Shield. Still got Barrett to come back but Waldrom is a big loss. Took it to Canterbury earlier in the season, they can do it again.Comment -

Waikato will take a team to Pukekohe today that includes just five of the starting XV that lifted the Ranfurly Shield off Taranaki on Wednesday night.
In addition, only one of today's reserve bench was in the match 22 for the historic victory in New Plymouth.

Two key positions that will cost a game, #9 & #10

#516hey guys
i'm going 12 or under Aus with TAB but also got aus to win straight at +100
made some money on mma again so lets see if i can do the same with rugby.
Oh, i've also put sneaky bet on Southland to beat the Naki at home... quite risky but it was paying +280 head to head for southland so took it.Comment -

#518With only 1 week to go what are we all thinking about the finals?
Think Counties will take the Championship with their home finals.
The Premiership will see 4 big guns who have all looked very good at stages throughout the season but I reckon Taranaki and Canterbury will make the final. Feel Wellington and Auckland are too young and lack experience in some areas, don't think their packs will stand up to the other 2 in pressure games. Taranaki has the best tight 5 but Canterbury's backrow is the best, pretty evenly matched I think. Taranaki will be very hopeful of getting Barrett back for for the finals but will they stop Canterbury's 5th in a row?Comment -

#519For us that arent all that familiar with NZ rugby, when ITM ends is that it for this year and nothing going until next season? I'm starting to enjoy it quite a bit, and for the ones that know their stuff (you guys for example!) there certainly has to be decent edges to be had.
easysaid, will you be carrying on with something else once this ends?
Thanks all you guys for your insights.Comment -

#521I would seed the premiership:
Canterbury
Wellington
Auckland
Taranaki
Waikato the wildcard
Not just being bitter about the Naki thumping Southland
Wellington are very, very good this year, and i think they'll beat anyone at home. The only chance Canterbury have of losing important matches from here on out is if it's away from home. Waikato are showing some late form but i'd have to look at the schedule to divine anything there.
The championship:
Counties
Otago
Tasman
Northland
Southland the wildcard
even tho i'm a big Tasman fan, Counties are really looking a league above everyone else in the championship. They'd have to be away from home with a tough schedule for any of the other championship teams to beat them. Counties are playing Tasman on Tuesday in Pukekohe, and although i don't wanna write Tasman off, Counties should grind that out. However that'll knacker both teams for their next matches, depending how far away they are.Comment -

#523hey guys, any thoughts on canterbury -15.5? they'll try hard to get a bonus point win to take over 1st place in the standing and the way they've been playing they can score 40-50 points IMO. weather looks perfect for rugby as well.
auckland -8.5 looks alrite as well. thoughts ppl?

#525Sorry, what does that mean? Canterbury to win by under 15? And Auckland to win by less than 8.5?
I think canterbury and auckland will both whip their respective opponents (HB and Otago) by at least 20 points each if that helps.
HB have their captain (Mike Coman) and best back (Guildford) out of action and i'd have to see the teamsheets to know more.Comment
