Dugan's debut sparked a huge Dragons win last week & it could be more of the same against Penrith. This is purely a gut play as I have this one scraping under 38 total points

Dogs team missing Origin players & the Dragons offensive problems should see this one struggle to break past 30 points. Expecting a lot of aimless side to side play to frustrate commentators, fans & over backers alike. Number has been drifting down & already 36.5 at one book. I recommend managing your risk carefully tonight - don't go large as these origin split rounds are full of surprises.

Tailing Sando on this one. Cowboys fielding a team of scrubs. Titans hit by Origin as well but at home with a superior forward pack should win by double digits. The only concern is Titans won't be as sharp today &could fumble their way to an ugly win. But they'll go out strong to grab the gift 2 points on offer against one of the weakest opposition they'll face this year. Heavy faves haven't been able to put teams away this weekend so only 1 unit at risk.

NSW vs QLD

Origin 1 is traditionally a low scoring game. Taking the OVER is a risk because in penalty situations both teams almost always kick for 2 points. However this NSW side is bursting with offensive talent. QLD have Inglis & Slater not to mention the deadly combo of Cronk, Cam Smith & JT. I could well be proven wrong & so just 1 unit at risk.

Bad play - QLD were exposed as an old & tired team, on top of that my Slater/Inglis expectations fizzled out. Sportsbet had a money back promotion if either of them scored, knowing something I didn't.

Slaters fitness was touch and go until teams were named and there was a good chance he wasnt going to be available and was lucky to be picked, he obviously wasnt 100% fit, they were better off resting him and playing Inglis at FB. Thurstons wifes about to give birth anyday and him and the cowboys have had a shocking season so he is out of form.

Thanks Sando, congrats on cashing the Bulldogs last night.

Liking the Warriors/Manly over today. Haven't spent much time on the NRL this weekend, always find it hard to get back into the regular season after Origin.
