haha yeah it's not really fun cursing at the tv each time either team scores a goal and hoping each forward drive is sent back to the midfield, like betting on decisions on MMA. You get kind of excited when there's about to be an unexpected finish in a fight and then realise you are betting on it being a snoozer/point fight.

Melbourne could very likely have a complete stinker again. Carlton have kicked some big scores at the G. Port are rubbish and it's highly likely the Suns get routed unless there's really heavy storms slowing the game down.

shoulda popped in here before i played a dumb under! stats pointed that way.. totals are a lot about predicting the style of the game as well as reading stats. i got the style completely wrong didn't get to see much of it though, was at wedding stuff and will be all day today as well. (not my wedding!!) i pulled the trigger on carlton -40.5 yesterday for 2x btw. its at 42.5 now, but i think they cover whatever it is.

I would swap melbourne with richmond to cop a 100+ thrashing (seriously, where are richmond going to find their goals? I don't care about Jack R.).

There is talk that melbourne deliberately played that shit (they were expected to play shit anyway so they took the opportunity) because they wanted to get rid of schwabb and conelly, instead, the senior coach got sacked instead.

After researching into schwabb I think there's truth to that.

Melbourne who have just lost their coach, together with the fact they play well at the G, (so do carlton though), they will show more. Carlton should still cover, but I won't be surprised if they don't.

If melbourne decide to tank again because of schwabb or whatever, then yeah.

i just found carlton -38.5 at sportbet, so i've hit that for another 2x. that gives me 4x on the blues they lost my biggest bet of the year earlier this season. they better not screw me today. lucky i will be at wedding and unable to watch.

Yeah the sides coming off a coaches sacking typically win, I wouldn't be surprised Melbourne cover or less likely win cause that trend is pretty solid, until you bet on the huge dog to win.

I saw about that on bigfooty, I'm not sure if you've ever played footy or any ammy sports but I don't see a group of 18 guys laying down to make a point, especially at a pro level. I still have nightmares about getting thrashed in juniors when we were a few players down.

Threaten to walk out or something, embarrass yourselves like that I don't see that happening. The coach would know he'd be the first fall guy and players who did deliberately tank would probably find themselves being traded, especially the instigators not the mentality you need or want around a club. Too much to lose and you don't need to be a genius to realise the Coach and players are gonna cop the flak, not the CEO. Could have cost the club sponsors and members next year etc. Now they've had a week to regroup with a caretaker coach off a 183ish point loss against another top side, the sacked coach superstition is probably Melbourne's best edge.

I'm with ya on the blues, I'm playing stats not a superstition. Also on the last page regarding the make the 8 props. I picked Melbourne to snag a spot in the 8 due to supposed easy wins over Suns and Port. I don't see how Melbourne could tank a game and cop a huge blow to percentage when they could rely on it for playing finals in a few weeks.

I think Melbourne are rubbish, morale will be shot, confidence would be like hitting a 10 loss losing streak on $1.20 ML's.
