(AFL): Essendon v St Kilda -30.5*
I am rooting for St Kilda to win this one, I took them on the line -30.5. I didn't put much thought in it at the time, I just whacked them onto a 5 leg Multi. My other 4 legs have come through, with 1 leg to go and possibility turning a measly $4 into a nice $88 odd I am starting to.

I am not too sure how many people do AFL tipping (seem to be fairly solid, got 92 thus far) but last week I had my hopes on North Melbourne to roll right over Essendon but what do you know Essendon surprise everyone and come up on top winning by a megar 3 points but really lets be honest North Melbourne isn't a good team and I KNOW Essendon isn't a good team. In a game with two bad teams one of them has to win, although as I said before was a surprise. Essendon may be filled by confidence with this upset against this, but I don't see how Essendon will stand against a top tier team.

    Essendon past five:
    Round 17: Win, 18.14 (122) – 18.11 (119) v North Melbourne, Etihad Stadium
    Round 16: Loss, 14.16 (100) – 20.12 (132) v West Coast, Etihad Stadium
    Round 15: Loss, 14.19 (103) – 19.8 (122) v Melbourne, MCG
    Round 14: Loss, 5.10 (40) - 19.10 (124) v Adelaide, AAMI Stadium
    Round 13: Loss, 13.8 (86) - 14.18 (102) v Hawthorn, MCG

St. Kilda on the other hand had a notable win over Geelong in round 13 but since have been rather average, I am not going to saw much about the draw against Hawthorn last week. I tipped Hawthorn to win that one actually but things happen, surprises happen. Hawthorn was clearly have been in form, managing a win over the Western Bulldogs and losing by a minor 2 points against the reigning favorites Geelong. I am sure that the draw last week was seen as a loss by most of the St Kilda cohort and we will see them come out swinging against Essendon.

    St Kilda past five:
    Round 17: Draw, 14.3 (87) – 13.9 (87) v Hawthorn, Etihad Stadium
    Round 16: Loss, 6.16 (52) – 15.10 (100) v Collingwood, MCG
    Round 15: Win, 11.13 (79) - 10.5 (65) v Brisbane Lions, the Gabba
    Round 14: Win, 15.10 (100) - 9.11 (65) v Melbourne, Etihad Stadium
    Round 13: Win, 10.10 (70) - 6.10 (46) v Geelong, MCG

Personally I am backing St. Kilda, I have some doubts whether they will cover but they will win this game for sure.

    Saints win easy.

Essendon aren't going to have the same ability to cut through them like they did to the kangaroos last week. Saints are team that prides itself on defence. Saints have played two hot offensive teams in the last week and been cut up. Essendon aren't hawthorn or collingwood and will get smashed IMO.

However, can i suggest putting $40.00 on the Essendon cover? it would be an automatic hedge for me.

I don't know what happened, seems like Essendon rolled tonight. So much for a "bad team". If I had seen your post Gee I would've hedged it, oh well it was fun thinking I could've turned a measly $4 into something big. perhaps I can do it again tomorrow!

Essendon somehow earned my respect this week. Good on them.
