    Whitney Day @ Saratoga
Okay guys, I cannot get by #1 Matareya in the second leg and #6 Life Is Good in the fourth leg of the Pick5. If I am going to throw one out it will be Life Is Good. I will need to catch a couple of prices if I single both. Any opinions on the last five races today and more importantly are you folks going to try to beat either or both of these horses? The buzz going around is #1 Americanrevolution may scratch from the Whitney.

have only done first 2 legs so far and look at rest after 1 pm

      R8 #7 money supply (9-2)

expensive chad brown for his main owner klaravich stables..2 and 4 back significant trouble lines..way he broke his maiden and ran in start 3 at belmont suggests to me he will really like 7f..chad tremendous when removing blinkers

      R9 #4 wish you well (12-1)

not trying to talk you off singling matareya and adding another . changes the whole structure and cost of your ticket..maybe as a small side with less horses in other legs

how much she cost including what i talk about a lot which is relative to the pedigree specifics (could be anything)..she won first out at 7f (6f i wouldn't consider her)..give her benefit of the doubt for sloppy track no show last out (bad trip also)

pace was fast (by bris figures) in her debut win

training up hear since may and trainer very good with shippers over a large sample

however he is horrible in graded stakes races which is a valid knock for the horse

      R10 Whitney

      #4 olympiad (2-1)

with 10 lifetime starts I am looking at his whole career in the pp's ..use brisnets

figures improved every start through his first 5 races
with the 5th being the cigar mile ..appears that was a bad trip ..avg first 2 calls 3 lengths off an extremely fast pace (always by figs when talking pace)

figure went backwards start 6 but only did what he had to winning by 7 opening up 5 in the stretch..also factor in his first try around 2 turns

backwards again start 7 but again won easy and no need to overextended

matching figures start 8 and 9 and they are both much faster and vs better 2 turn company than he'd ever run against

last race goes forward again and does pressing a very fast pace

mott significantly better roi numbers than pletcher in applicable categories

      my lean here

      R11 caesar's saratoga derby

      #7 royal patronage (10-1)

      R12 #3 curlin's wisdom (8-1)

Thanks guys, I am still looking this one over. JBX, I really like your angle on the #4 in the 9th. I did not notice her last race being an off track until you posted it. If I try to beat The #1 I will use her. I like the #6 and #10 you have listed in the 3rd leg BOA12. The final is a crap shoot IMO as it looks like you see it that way also. I'll post my ticket before the first leg kicks. Good luck gents!!!

I had my ticket constructed before I read JBX's post and glad I have both of his selections (last 2 legs) on the ticket. BOA12 having a great day and I have two of his three listed in the 4th leg and four of his five listed in the last leg. This is a handicappers sin singling an odds on fav. in one leg and a fav. in another but I am going to do it anyway, LOL.

                r8) 6,7
                r9) 1
                r10) 6
                r11) 2,6,7,10
                r12) 2,3,5,9

If I get knocked out in the first let will shoot at the P4. Good luck all and thanks again!!!

Missed this Pen. Quick thoughts and it's raining hard so not sure if track will change....not playing the p5 as I think DMR has a mandatory 6 today.

                          r8- 6,7,8 (like 6 most)

BOA12 having a great day and I have two of his three listed in the 4th leg and four of his five listed in the last leg. This is a handicappers sin singling an odds on fav. in one leg and a fav. in another but I am going to do it anyway, LOL.

If I get knocked out in the first let will shoot at the P4. Good luck all and thanks again!!!
This is sad. The only leg I got correct was LIG in the Whitney. A bit of at recap:

R8) The second out favorite Saint Tapit runs to his low odds. He may be one to watch.

R9) Chi Town Lady come rolling late and veered in to hit Matayera. Hot Peppers ran the race of her life, Rudy Rod can not catch a break.

R10) Life Is Good ran fast early and increased his lead on the backstretch. I want none of this horse at a mile and a quarter against a quality field.

R11) I did not have Nations Pride on my ticket as I thought he would be over bet. He ended up as the favorite and ran a great race. Can't say much more other than that. I was a bit surprised Classic Causeway kept running to be just out finished for the place spot.

R12) Action Jackson's first race since November. Saved ground and moved out late to rally. I thought this was a race ripe for an upset. Not so much.
