a friend of mine going out to the meadowlands tonight so I did the card for him

outside of the 2/77 jockey like the horse at this level
at a big price..he's raced vs much better in his previous 2 turf sprint tries

much lower but like anyway.. should have a big lead and will be too much for this field.. feel they are taking the loss on the claim 4 back and putting him where he belongs

that one race that he ran on the turf (in a route) the pace was extremely fast... he was 4 and 6 lengths off a pace that was 12 - 9 lengths fast, so even being that far off he was going pretty good.. like that related to today's sprint distance on the turf.. his dirt sprint form has been excellent of late.. numbers have improved each race off the long layoff from sept to june... also ny jockey hector diaz gets to ride vs a much inferior bunch of locals here

#9 aspen snow (8-5) is a $245k 2yo purchase (now a 3yo) who made his debut at kentucky downs on 9/8 in a msw race with a purse of $130k and did little (bet also @ 5-1)...today's race a 5k mcl !! wow will never see such a sudden drop again in my lifetime..not 50 not 20 not 10...5 lol...str if you wander over here what do you think ?

with this kind of pedigree info I'd expect a horse like this to cost 50-60k on average.. he cost $400k!! this a 5f turf sprnt and this one bred to win early and at sprint distances and on turf.. for a 15k sire this was the third most expensive sold at obs earlier this year and that tells you something about kind of horses he's getting...also sprint pedigrees tend to bring less so another positive on the price.. with Brad Cox training (the bad news) he'll surely be an underlay so this is more of a call out that he might be something special down the road than a good bet here..easy win at 3-5 in a weak field

2nd by a neck at 8-5..with what I said not enough.. got beat by a tom amoss firster who went off 5-2..
checked the time and it was less than a second off the track record.. thought wow must be a pretty decent horse.. than looked to see if there was another turf sprint on the card and there was for 3up n2xot fillies and mares ..amoss won that one also, a wire job by almost 7 lengths.. time ...almost a second faster than the track record.. 20.52 -- 42. 85 -- 54.57 other 20. 54 -- 43.70 -- 56.26..according to the pars about 8 lengths difference between these two levels and would have thought it'd be a little less factoring the babies were colts..8 lengths is what would've separated them today by times.. surface must've been like asphalt lol
