since switching to a mile last year he's consistent as they come albeit vs lesser company.. lightly raced 5yo gelding another positive for me

R2 coventry stakes g2 for 2yo

#10 fox champion (20-1) scratched

just going by what he cost.. 626k by a 50k stallion out of a placed dam and this her first starter.. lot of money for him with those credentials

R3 king's stand stakes g1

#11 mabs cross (15-1) 3rd a neck off 2nd @21-1

another lightly raced 4yo (but filly this time) who consistently runs well and has been handling the class jumps.. obviously this will be her toughest test but why not at a price..probably less than ml odds

R4 st james palace stakes g1

#3 gustav klimt (8-1) 2nd by a neck @ 7-1

elite pedigree galilleo out of a stakes winning danehill mare.. within 4 lengths in big fields in his first 2 attempts vs G1 competition
and this is a chance to still get him at a good price

R5 ascot stakes handicap (20 horses 2.5 miles)

#20 couer de lion (7-1) no good @ 9-2

I like the competitiveness at close to this oddball distance and also has done it vs decent competition in big fields

R6 wolferton stakes listed

#15 yucatan (15-1) no good @ around the ml


another lightly raced big pedigree.. has run competitively in graded stakes and a listed stakes @ 10f should be just the ticket for him.. think he'll be less than ml

no regrets..put in a good effort in the 3rd race also at 21-1 (3rd by a neck vs about 24 horses).. remember there's a whole week of this so just a side challenge for me

$500k yearling by scat daddy who's been a monster sire past couple of years (deceased).. improved each of her 3 starts including a win last out.. trained by aidan o'brien

R2 queen's vase g2

#1 almoghared (15-1)

could be any kind with that pedigree.. hasn't raced against the level of competition of some of the others which maybe allows him to go off a decent price

R3 duke of cambridge g2

#7 tomyris (6-1)

besides the clear favorite #1 like his resume.. a couple of solid 3rd's vs g3competition not bad in this field.. last race a g3 victory with frankie detori off a 7 month layoff.. gets his regular jock back to ride her who's rode her well as frankie on another who he won with last out.. guess you could construe that as a negative if you want but it wouldn't put me off and should help the price if anything


R4 prince of wales g1

cold 26 exacta which should pay about $5

R5 royal hunt club handicap.. 32 horses if all go

half brother to uncle mo by war front.. WOW !! race restricted to 3yo's and this one's made nice steady progress.. ran 2nd on the lead in a g1 at a mile last out and now cuts back to 7f in a g3
which seems like a good move.. ryan moore, aiden o'brien don't hurt the cause either

side note.. full brother to american pharoah runs in here #16 st patrick's day.. ran 2nd in his debut and broke his maiden in his 2nd start.. both at del mar

debuts in april and is 3rd by 2.75 lengths...

2nd start 29 days later breaks maiden..

back in 14 days stakes race 3rd by 2.5 lengths..

back in 26 days

cost 413k and is by probably the hottest first year sire there is whose a son of the overall hottest sire there is scat daddy

R2 hampton court stakes g3

#5 key victory (4-1)


breaks maiden first out at newmarket @ 7f in a 14 horse field ...comes back as a 3yo to win a stakes race at 10f which is pretty impressive for 2nd career start.. tries g1 horses at 10.5f in france and finishes
8th by 3+ lengths in a 16 horse field which is not a horrible performance...back at 10f vs g3 horses which to me is a perfect spot . out of a dubawi mare (top 2 or 3 most expensive stallion) so might have something to do with his ability

R3 ribbledale stakes g2

#8 sarrochi (30-1)

galileo ot of an oasis dream mare so big pedigree.. broke maiden first out at 7f in a 16 horse field in ireland.. first attempt as a 3yo in a g3 stakes not good but it was on a heavy track so going to excuse it..they thought enough of her to move forward to a g1 in spite of the bad effort last out but again did nothing.. drops back to a G3 @ 10f in his last start and finishes a decent 4th.. the fact they are going to try a G2 with her off what she's done and it's at 12f intrigues me with her pedigree
