bred and owned by the same connections as game winner.. by elite sire tapit and full sibling to a grade 2 winning mare..interesting to try a maiden in this race.. this is his 3rd career start and the first two as a 2yo were very credible while last out about a month ago finished last by 40 lengths.. the main positive for me is they're willing to give it a go in here.. the owner's are long time participants at a high level (breeding and buying) in this game and I don't think they'd try this for kicks..also you never know when a lightly raced, extremely well bred 3yo who's shown some flashes of talent may decide to wake up and throw a big effort


side note.. don't think I've ever seen a horse run for a bigger purse in each of his first 4 starts at the msw level and above.. 42k,76k,93k and $750k today

obviously i'm a little partial to 5-game winner but besides him really like this one... increased distances and improved figures in all of his first 5 starts.. his last race in the withers at 1 1/8 miles he was towards the front the whole wayand battled right to the wire to lose by a neck.. final and pace figures substantially higher than the pars for this race

for the most part no.. along the way I have recorded plays for a while but don't stay with it.. more than I want to do .. currently am keeping track of a subgroup of plays but going to stop that at 200 plays.. make too many plays and do it without being able to see final odds which is a huge disadvantage overall.. this thread more of a casual "like these today" type thing

thanks dtp..I think a good way to use it is if you're playing real time and a pick of mine s a bomb you could key him in 3rd or 4th in supers or triples and surround it with logicals (top 3 or 4) or one that you like. .when these horses come in it's usually underneath and the exotics when you hit them regularly pay more than they should because the public doesn't bet them efficiently..just one example..good way to play any longshot imo
