just watched the replay.. think if you factor in how wide he was towards the end of the far turn and over the course of the turn you could say he lost about 5-6 lengths easy.. he was flying at the end ,as you said, and lost by less than 3 lengths.. a good follow although it will be noted in the comment line "extremely wide stretch"
