I can't be the only one out there that is happy to see the NHL season is just around the corner.

I am actually thrilled. I can't wait for Hockey Night in Canada on CBC, big bag of zesty cheese Doritis and some A&W root beer pop right after my saturday night hockey pizza for the pre game show.

They sure have realized that the Regular season is not where it's at anymore. There built more for the playoff run nowadays after there last years play.

Yeah Sens fans like to remind people how they beat the Leafs in the regular season but conveniently forget to mention that the mighty and heavily favoured Senators were eliminated in the playoffs by those same Leafs 3 consecutive years.

We'll see. I don't think the Leafs are quite as good as the Sens just yet, however, when Toronto makes the playoffs the atmosphere here is electric, I doubt very much that Ottawa wants to face the Leafs in the first round, the expansion Ottawa Senators have never beaten Toronto in a playoff series, they are 0-4.

This will be a huge breakout year for Alex Steen. This guy is going to turn some heads this season. Minimum 25 goals!!!

Hopefully so, I'm releived that they did something to improve the goaltending, Raycroft stunk the place out last year, I'm no fan of him.
