After seeing St. Louis +280 beat Anaheim -320 in Anaheim 5-0 earlier this year I know that NOTHING is obvious.

Remember teams that are out of the playoffs have young guys from the farm club trying to make an impression and earn a spot on the team next year, so they play tough. There is no pressure on them to win and the better team doesn't get "up" to play these lesser teams. Playoff bound teams would like to avoid injuries to their better players.

Look at how well Washington is playing since there top goalie returned recntly.

the reason something looks wrong is they are not the correct odds at -136 and -127
considering both of these teams are away from home ice these lines are correct
had the games been in san jose and colorado
sanjose would be -325
and colorado this is the highest line between these two ever in edmonton the line has only hit this mark and above in colorado

ODDS in general don't mean balls at least every other week dogs of 300 and above pull out wins. some teams just have the number of others such as detroit stlouis matchups love when this game comes around because you can take st louis every time even if you lose half the games stlouis wins half so at +250 3 times to minus 100 three times you are still ahead. I could never understand why people think if a teams odds are -280 they are a definite winner only to get hammered gambling when they take them. I know from baseball another matchup to relate is TB NYY bet TB ever time you don't know when it will occur but it will occur enough to put positive money in your pocket.

Blackhawks got spanked 7-1 in San Jose last week, so it might be a bit of revenge factor, but I don't feel they have enough talent to play w/ the Sharks.
