Mike - appreciated your comments from a couple weeks ago, kinda woke me up and sometimes its hard for me to take a break when I get off-track, but you came right out and said the obvious....it helped.
The point of this thread, and I said it in the original post, was to be more selective this year, more disciplined, to improve my win percentage and profits.
It doesn't mean that every pick will win, but to focus on what I think are the very best picks. Even then, units risked are on a scale, rather than flat bet amount.
Ok having said that, still want to post my updated records, will get to it soon, been busy and I like to take the time to verify before I post the record.

Honestly this pick I have little confidence in, but the reason for playing it because if I was taking the Sharks in this game as the road favorite, I'd feel the same way. Sharks are the better team, and the Oilers have been in poor form, but they have not yet won the first 3 games into the current 5-game homestand. I've seen the Sharks play like clowns in this spot - early start time in Canada, losing 6-2 in Ottawa a while back. 1 unit on the Oilers at plus money to break their losing streak.Comment -

this is the way I'm playing this game. I'd agree with anyone who says it's a bad idea to lay such high chalk in NHL most of the time. I'm going with some prior history in these situations involving the Winter Classic outdoor games - meaning Overtime and/or 1-goal outcome. At the same time, Blackhawks goalie Cam Ward isn't very good and Bruins are the better team, although Chicago has been uptrending themselves here as of late. The last thing I'll offer as a comment is the venue is outdoors at the Notre Dame football stadium in South Bend, Indiana - which would mean it's more of a home field for Chicago - but I'm discounting any real importance to that.Comment -
