2-4 W/L yesterday with the 2 versions of the Arizona moneylines being the only winners. However the loss wasn't too bad, just -1.07 units overall on the night. I probably played those games wrong by adding the Overtime insurance, but I really did think both had probability of Overtime...and they both could have the way the games ended.

This might appear to be a crazy pick as bad as the Kings have played, and I will honestly say I'm not super confident with it... as a max 5-unit play it should exhibit high confidence. But I think the game is a complete coin flip 50-50, and at +140 odds is why I'm throwing the max at it. Reasons:
CHI played 7 games since 10/31, with 5 of those on the road, during which time the scored only 11 goals total vs. allowed 24 goals
LAK played 6 games since 11/3, all at home, scored 12 goals vs. allowed 16 goals (of which 5 of those came on Nov.1 vs. PHI)
LW Carl Hagelin first game for LAK since being traded from PITT (for Tanner Pearson)
LAK is statistically the better team in several categories
A bit of a wildcard is the Kings should be starting rookie goalie Calvin Peterson on the road, vs. Corey Crawford starting at home for Chicago. But Petersen did see action on Nov.13 when he came in about halfway thru the game against Toronto on Nov.13, in which he made 15 of 16 saves, allowing just 1 power play goal to the mighty Maple Leafs.
Chicago is -155 in this game why?? because at home? both teams stink. Take the Kings for the upset at big +plus odds.

The bigger play on Philly is based on several factors. They fired the GM, and in the press conference, they cited a reason for the decision was wanting to do a better job of "winning now". So the players were certainly given that message also for motivation. Besides, the home game tonight is against the worst team in the league, Ottawa, who comes in after playing last night. Senators played 13 games in November, while Philly has only played 11 games with tonight being theur last one this month. The standard moneyline has the Flyers -220, so the discount for the regulation win of -150 looks good to me. I'd like to think Flyers win by multiple goals, but my final call is just asking for them to get it done in regulation.Comment -

two losses again 0-2 last night. Not sure if calling the Philadelphia loss a "bad beat" is accurate, but they did lead that game 3-1 after two periods, and found a way to lose giving up 3 unanswered in the third period to the league's worst team, who were on a road back-to-back. I'm a little bitter. Also, you should watch the game highlights on the game winning goal making it 4-3 by Matt Duchene of the Senators, batted a puck out of the air and it perfectly went over the goalie's shoulder...that wasn't the goal that affected my regulation time wager, but a combination of skill and luck involved in that particular goal.
