My early plays for the BMW Championship...

Scottie Sheffler +1600 I will not turn down this price on the best golfer in the world, hands down. I give him at least a 9-10% chance of taking this event down. At 16-1, yea, I'll take that.

Cam Young +2200 This guy as been knocking on the door all year and is playing as good, if not better, than any on tour.

Joaquin Niemann +4000 Liked the way he played last weekend at the St. Jude. From tee to green he was the best the last two rounds. Unfortunately they play 4. I give this guy a chance if he can bring the same game this Weekend and I really love the number on him.

Good luck for any who play these or post yours. Plenty of time to get the plays in. Should be a fun weekend.

Do you ever bet any matchups? I've really like betting players to miss the cut this year. Makes for an exciting Friday afternoon, hoping for some guy to play terribly.

Here are my 1st round matchups. Usually don't have this many but really like these.

Adam Scott +118 over Billy Horschel

Trey Mullinax -115 over Lucas Glover

Justin Thomas -105 over Will Zalatoris

Cameron Young +100 Over Matthew Fitzpatrick

Remember these are 1st Round plays only, so be careful not to bet these matchups for the whole tournament. Check your tickets before hitting the button.

4-0 in 1st Round matchups. At least that's free rollin' the win bets on top.

I'll take a look at the 2nd Round and see if there's any low hangin' fruit.

    2nd Round Matchup

Joaquin Niemann -110 over Viktor Hovland

Will Zalatoris +100 over Jon Rahm

One play that I almost pulled the trigger on and didn't is Finau +113 over Thomas. I just didn't like the way Finau looked today, at all. He looks like he's having some back issues. Not sure so I stayed away. The price is juicy, but, when I thought about it I know why. So if you do, good luck on that one. If he comes out to the 1st tee ok, it's a good play.

Sheffler had a couple missteps but closed strong. Definitely in contention.

Waiting on the matchup numbers to get posted. It's going to be hard to find a good number for Round 3. Books are going to juice the favs and skim the dog to where it's hard to place a bet which is common for Round 3 and 4. But we'll see.

Very difficult to beat wide juice impossible actually

You probably need 15 funded books to offset the wide juice

You are correct jj. It's all about getting the right number even if we know something has a good chance of winning. If we bet into numbers we think has a 60% (-150) probability, but the number we take is -165, we are in -EV land no matter how much we like a bet. We still need the right number. Comes down to simple math, really. It's how books survive.

Btw, I don't really see any matchups to bet into today, maybe tomorrow. So today, let's pull for our win bets to position themselves for the stretch run tomorrow.

Cantlay was +105 with Stallings the same before Cantlay hit his approach shot on 16. Prob your best opportunity to hedge there. Everyone else was pretty much out of it barring a miracle. Hard to hedge sometimes in golf.

Def a tough break. Cantlay looked dead off the tee and Stallings with a 9 footer to take the lead. Such big swings.
