LK1's Plays Week 3

This is the conference opener for both of these SEC teams. Auburn has started off the season well winning their first two games at home. However they are going to be traveling into a tough enviroment to play a Bulldog desperate to get a big win after dropping their first game to LA TECH. Mississippi St has confidence against this tiger team after winning last year's game on the road. If the Bulldogs take care of the football and keep it close early, they can have a shot of pulling off this upset. Ill take the home dog in this SEC opener.

GEORGIA TECH YELLOW JACKETS 2-0 @ VIRGINIA TECH HOKIES 1-1
September 13, 3:30 PM | Grass of Lane Stadium

The hokies come into this game off an unimpressive win against Furman(WHO?). Coach Beamer looks to have his hands full when the Yellow Jackets come into town on Saturday.

I am a Paul Johnson fan and he really has given Georgia Tech an identity. They are going to run the ball down your throat to set up play action and play solid defense. They will grind out the game to the bitter end. Jonathan Dwyer is a stud in the backfield, and should find some running room against the hokies.

The free touchdown is a gift, as i see a great oppurtunity for Ga Tech to beat the Hokies straight up.

Hey LK1, good to see you back for football...Too bad the Big East looks a little worn this year... Hope we can get it back together though I agree with the KU play...Actually I'm taking all the same games minus Miss St. Good to see we are on same page... I absolutely love Cal and USC this week... I think the Pac 10 might be a moneymaker this weekend as Arizona is one of my top games as well.. (Also considering Oregon though I hate going against Pags)... Giving a lot of points on all 3 but feel very confident..... Anyway GL

On with USC, Gtech, and Cal. watch out with Auburn. They are like Georgia and love to pull out big SEC wins on the road. You can't give much home field advantage to Miss. St. bc. there is nothing but cows with bells on their necks there.

Rutgers got outplayed by a better team in their first matchup against Fresno St. However this team is better than that performance. Mike Teel should be able to pick apart UNC's secondary and find his talented WR's down the field. Look for Coach Schiano to have his boys ready to play on Thrusday. I think RU will make a statement by lighting up the Tar Heels for 28+ points. Look for the Knights to roll.

The hell with the NFL why does college make so much more sense?

I really like Kansas +3.5 myself! They passed their road tests last year (4-0 in the Big 12) and return 15 starters....9 on defense. Reesing for the Jayhawks had a sparkling 33-7 TD/Int. ratio while as good as S. Florida QB Grothe seems to be...his was only 14/14 last year!

I dont think I can bet against South Florida to be honest. I've almost became a secondary fan. I root for them on most occasions. South Florida is awful tough to beat at home though. Remember the beatings they handed BOBBY PETRINO's Louisville team? I know LK1 probably does because it still gives me nightmares.

East Carolina has been very impressive knocking off two ranked teams in back to back weeks. I love this ECU team but i think this week spells trouble. Their is no way skip holtz will be able to get his team up like he did for their two home games against big time opponets.

Neither Va Tech or West V are that good this year anyway.

Tulane would of beat Bama if not for two special team touchdowns, in tusculsa. Tulane has a solid defense and should be able to keep this game close to the end. They are coming into this matchup feeling very confident after the bama game and they are back home. ECU will come into this game flat and they are not used to playing as the favorite nor being ranked in the top 15.

Just as a reminder, Im not playing the CAL/MARYLAND game. . . for some reason, im getting this feeling that the terps are going to give them a battle today. . . of course CAL will win by 30 now that I decided to second guess myself.
