well, it could've been better, but it could've been a lot worse. Auburn's Three Stooges offense pulled themselves together and turned things around after a bad first quarter and the defense picked up Newton after that 4th and goal duck. first drive of the third quarter is immense, Auburn fans.

whew, nice win. i threw a little on the 2H under, but the big play on the -2 had me gripping until the end. was feeling dumb for booking Auburn at -2 last night when i could've had a win on a missed 2-point conversion, but it ended up working out. too bad you pushed, twylight, but glad no one lost and that we finished the thread a winner. smoke to that.

i have some work to do for college hoops, but i'll check you guys out over in those threads soon (i really like college hoops halftime plays, hit well on 2H totals over the weekend). thanks much for the collaboration on picks and well wishes and encouragement and such. i never kept a long-term thread before and this was a lot of fun and better yet profitable.

also, and this is important, a buddy of mine just emailed me this: "we can stop entertaining all of this RLM garbage in games upon which more than five people are wagering." in Elon-UNCG hoops, perhaps, but to think that some syndicate is buying up tons of Oregon +2 and +1 in 48 hours before kick-off enough to move the line? bah. we were fortunate to walk off a winner, but to think that Oregon was the sugar pick that the line movement said it was, no way.

thanks much for your insight and picks, zulu. i know that you're not thrilled that Auburn won the national title, but i also know that, when it comes up, you can say that it's likely to end up with an asterisk or a vacation like Reggie Bush, and that at least you were shrewd enough to bring home some nice loot on it. spring ball under Saban will be no vacation, that's for sure.

MSU didn't play well but had a chance, Illinois blew. i can't believe that Penn State defended them that well. glad i played 'em small. i've been busy and just need to devote this weekend to get up and running in CBB. went 5-1 on 2H totals last weekend, so it's good to feel like the instincts are working well.

I'm going to need some help on the CBB side of things. I can usually do well on NBA, NHL, and MMA wagers but I've never been a huge CBB capper.

cool, CBB is my favorite sport to cap. college hoops are the shit. NBA is a mystery to me, and although i like to watch NHL, i don't know how to cap it. i would definitely be interested in some NHL and MMA insight.

i like Stillers and under in GB/ATL. as for sides in GB, l lean GB but i'm just playing the total there.

i CBB later this afternoon, Penn State/Ohio State over 128' is worth a look. i'm playing that and Loyola Marymount/Gonzaga over 142, both small. had to work today, but plan to go at CBB hard starting tomorrow. i made bunch of upgrades (well, hopefully) to the models that i use for hoops, looking forward to testing it out.
