EVERYBODY is on NW now :(
is it time to start getting nervous about this play? It was one of my first early leans and looked to be one of my stronger plays of opening week. i love the direction of their program going against a Vandy program that by ALL indicators seems to be rebuilding. But.....i get really nervous when i see so many cappers on the same Play. Somebody make me feel better about this please.

Personally, I don't allow what other posters say sway me very often. I have allowed some posters I respect back me off making a play on UTAH against Pitt, but most of the time, I do what I think is best. If you've done the capping and NW is the play you like, bet it, and don't worry about what others think or what the line does.

      cooway,

if you favor this play, stick with it. thats one of the negative things about forums, is backing out of plays at times. remember how little of a sample size this forum is compared to the millions that will be put on this game.

if you like it, stick with your gut!

And if the small sample size is loving the play what would the millions be doing? They are probably on it to. You just got to stick to your guns and pull the trigger. The public doesn't lose every bet. They lose a lot of them and if you happen to be on the same side as them you need to watch out. But.

I also like NW in this game. Along with everyone else.

Sudden departure of Vandy head coach Johnson in mid-July followed by appointment of former assistant coach Caldwell to the head coach position has the public keeping far, far away from the Commodores. After all, this is a perennial conference cellar dweller. But that's in the nation's best conference, the SEC. Where would they finish in the Big 10 if they were matched up against the likes of Minnesota, Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, and even this Northwestern team? Maybe in the middle of the pack on a consistent basis. Only 11 returning starters return for Vandy, implying further rebuilding. Yet these circumstances have not frightened the linemaker, who have opened Vandy as slightly less of an underdog than they would have at the close of last season. You shouldn't be fooled either. Atleast take note of this warning to stay away from the Wildcats in the role of road favorite when traveling to a superior conference.

Remember that just because a line may change, does not mean that Joe Pub is all over the game. People can make one huge wager and offset a hundred small wagers that go the other way. This is also a ploy that books like to use to "balance" their action on each side of the ball.

solid advice - if i like a game i bet it, i dont care who or how many are on it or against it. i never let anyone put me off a game i like. an old pro gave me that same advice a long time ago and he was right on.

took NW at -3. Some got it at -2.5. Vandy returned only one offensive lineman, but he was ruled academically ineligible so they will be breaking in a whole offensive line in this game. really like NW here

I like the play at first glance, mainly bc Vandy is a joke. But Im wondering why everyone is all about NW considering the key to their success last year (Kafka) is now in the NFL. Does anyone know anything about who will QB the Wildcats this year? If he's got skills, I love the play at -3.

NW is undervalued, as the "true" line should be about 6/6.5. Vegas oddsmakers knew Vandy would not be public, yet most places opened -3. I think the line could close 5 or 6, but the game smells completely like a trap. Pass.

Vandy's starting RB got hurt and is questionable for the opener. Other two RBs are also dinged up
