Neither have an outstanding O by any means. I would give UNC the edge on D and LSU the edge on O. Pretty even low scoring matchup IMO.

Yea LSU wins......UNC could have 2 of their starters miss the game unless the ncaa clears them to play which i doubt they will

LSU is NEVER a good play. No matter how good they may play, Miles always has the ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory with poor clock management, poor play calling and other coaching decisions that he is famous for. I grabbed LSU +3 on a futures wager. I was hoping that the line turned around and it has, but seems to be stuck at LSU -1.5. I would really like to see LSU go to -3, or better yet, -3.5, to get a nice middle.

come on... ACC??? I do agree with LEs Miles being bad but still UNC on the game of the week on ABC.. are they ready to make that jump to the big times??? I dont know.... plus their fans wont travel, it will be a lsu home game. .

A lot of people are really high on UNC this season. I like them in the ACC. Beating LSU at a neutral site is different than playing your average ACC team. BUT, Les Miles just does not inspire confidence.

This is obviously one of the big games of week 1. For me it is the Tigers or nobody.

The game will most likely end with 1st and goal LSU from the 1 yard line and :17 on the clock....yet Miles will still not have the play called in.

Oh what...like that's really out of the realm of possibility with this team

I was on a thread a few weeks ago that said Les Miles will be fired if.... On that thread I wrote that UNC would be a nice play. I am going back on my words. Since I had not bet UNC yet, it was obvious that I was fortunate not to have done so. LSU is much improved offensively. They have 3 stud tailbacks right now. Any one of the three could be a starter for any team in the ACC or SEC for that matter. Not to mention the talent they have at wide receiver. Terrance Tolliver, Russell Shepard, and Reuben Randle. According to quotes from Peyton and Eli Manning's qb camp this spring, Jordan Jefferson was a standout there. Jefferson was really just a freshman last year, because it was his first year to start. Now that he has a year of experience, he should be much more polished and decisive under center.
Defensively, LSU has some real talent that they acquired with their incoming freshmen. The upperclassmen understand the scheme more now that they have been around Chavis for an extended period of time. Look for LSU's defense to be a little improved this season.
Miles has a lot of pressure on him to get the job done and I think LSU could be getting overlooked this year. As for UNC, you can't ever count Butch Davis out when it comes to game planning and having his team ready. I just don't think UNC will be able to stop the speedsters that LSU has on offense. Though they are a very good defensive team. UNC will not be able to score with LSU either, because that UNC offense is still a year or two away from being where it needs to be. All in all, I have LSU 27 UNC 10. I actually have this game rated fairly high, personally. (big play for me here)

This would have been an interesting game if not for the suspensions, as I think UNC had a great shot with their defense vs. a terrible QB in Jefferson. Now, LSU should win this game handily, but they are still not that good.

How so ? The offense? It can only get better. First i've heard that Lsu is a bad team. Lsu is a team you can have them play anybody ranked 1-25 and they would have a real chance of winning the game.
