I think this is pretty safe bet. I told myself I would not bet it if it was over 17. But the more I look at the game the more I feel like SC destroys the warriors. I just dont see it being a close game at all.

It is alot of points you are right. But LK isnt gonna be like PC. I think he is looking to make a point this year and will start the season with a wood shed job.

Hawaii has to replace 4 starters on the O-line. They lose 2 on the D-line, and all 3 LB's. That from a defense that ranked 93rd overall and 109th in rushing defense last year. While they ranked 14th in overall offense last season, they also ranked 89th in scoring offense. I never wager on USC games because USC is my alma-mater, but I sure would not be taking Hawaii in this game if I did wager.

i cannot see this game being close either. a major concern during fall camp is injuries especially to the offensive line. i think last year's poor result and ALL the offseason turmoil is contributing to this low number. people must think USC is in shambles right now.

Hawaii always plays tough on the island and especially when its a featured game. I like hawaii because USC looks like the easy play. When it looks easy most of the time its not, you know what i mean.

USC enjoyed their last trip to the island! 63-17. Two very different obviously this time around, but Kiffin was on the staff for their last visit

Hawaii isn't used to playing people like USC. That makes them tougher on the island, playing weak sisters. give the points!

I am certainly going to be on USC in this one with you guys. The problem I see with them being "still SC" comes in the form of depth. At this point aren't they near 70 scholarship players? I think this may really hinder them as the season progresses. But they are going to come out pissed in this game and light Hawaii up.

i question the motivation level for usc with no bowl to play for n wonder how itll affect their performance throughout the entire game...itll be important to take this into account for all their games during the season

I'm not too sure on this one. First game at a new school. I do think Hawaii is abysmal though and there is no chance I would wager on them. So it is USC or nothing I think.

good players left? which players would you be referring to? 2nd string WR Travon Patterson or 2nd string DE Malik Jackson? Or maybe you were talking about not even on the team LB Jordan Campbell? Atleast do a little research and not just watch ESPN fairy's wheel.... what a tool hahaha.... The question about depth is reasonable but the only worry i have about the depth is on the oline but if we get lucky and not alot of injuries we're good. 71 "on roster players" - 22 "offense and defense starters" is still 49 extra players. I think SC is good on that. They have all been saying the whole summer that them not going to a bowl wont stop their work ethic. SO the report coming out of SC says motivation wont be a problem.

Look at Kiffins first game last year at Tenn. They beat western Kentucky 63-7 with J. Crompton at QB. So i doubt he is really worried about Hawaii. 3 tds atleast

I hate Lane Kiffin with the best of them but this is nice easy win week 1. They probably win by 25+ points if I had to guess

motivation will NOT be a factor for the first game. reports coming in from the summer is the team is even MORE motivated and working MUCH harder than they did last year under PC. Last year the team started to get a little lazy during spring practices. when lane kiffin came he set people straight and re-established standards.

I'm with Fishmonger...if the pick was that easy ..Vegas would not exist.
Lane Kiffin hasn't proven one thing. USC will win by 17pts and not cover.
Vegas wins!

Kiffin is too conservative in his play calling. If you think USC can plod there way to cover then take them but I think they may struggle in the first half. I'm looking at fading them in the 1st half for sure.

It wasnt a fight "domer". Oklahoma drill. But dont yall have enough to worry about it Ann Arbor? douche.
Conservative playcalling? HAhaha I love it when you guys do ZERO research when running off at the mouth.
Lane Kiffins Conservative Playcalling:
63-7 Western Kentucky
45-19 Georigia
31-13 South Carolina
56-28 Memphis
31-16 Vandy
VERY VERY conservative.

this is why i think the number is so low. plus all the offseason turmoil make people believe USC is falling apart. especially with the person above citing the alleged "fight" between TJ bryant and stanley havili. add to the fact that people flat out hate lane kiffin. there is SOOOOOO much negative around USC and people generally think hawaii is strong on the island, which is sort of true. it's more accurate to say hawaii sucks less while on the island.

I mean Mark Sanchez was on ESPN radio this morning and he predicted undefeated season. So if USC is not losing, they will certainly be covering against Hawai'i
