Although Miss St has a poor ATS record at home in non con games, I would not take a chance with Memphis. They have a new coach this year and should take some time to rebuild.

True.... I dont depend on the trends quite as much. State hasnt beat anybody by 20 pts with the exception of Mid Tenn St. and that was 21pts. State lost their rb Dixon. If it wasnt for him they only win 4 games. There starting qb will be Chris Relf. Went to a few games last year and hes not a good passer. He can run so I look for the game to be slowed way down. Dont get me wrong I think State wins the game but by only 10 or so. Its looking like a solid pick. But I am open to discussion thanks for the reply

LSU is now -1. Am I glad I took LSU +3 on a futures wager. Let's keep the line moving in tis direction. This is going to be a solid middle.

No one touches this game if they are smart. With two good defenses and two very quetionable offenses, turnovers could spell the difference here.

Another interesting note on the Miss St-Memphis game is State plays Auburn at home the following Thursday night. With such short preparation time for an intra division rival, it will be interesting to see if Miss St overlooks and under prepares for Memphis. It is hard to imagine a team overlooking an opening game but Auburn is going to be a huge statement game for Coach Mullen.
