No one touches this game if they are smart. With two good defenses and two very quetionable offenses, turnovers could spell the difference here.

I hear you bigdaddy i just cant see TJ yates marching them up and down the field on LSU defense the secondary is GOOD very good imo. I Think Jefferson will surprise vs a good UNC defense just my 2cents. In what has a good chance to be a tight game (and i understand this is why you wouldnt bet it) How can anybody trust T.j yates vs an above average SEC defense in 4th qtr crunch time when he has to throw. I still havent played anything i missed Lsu + maybe when totals come out something there.

The only play I *might* touch is the Under - but that depends on the number.

I actually like LSU in this spot. This number is off by atleast two field goals. LSU defense and offense will be better this year. Bringing in Florida WR coach Billy Gonzales should vastly improve this offense. Gonzalez is the WR coach and the Offensive cordinator assistant. Miles brought him in from Florida to specifically fix the offense and also work with Russel Sheppard like he did Percy Harvin. I expect this LSU team to suprise a lot of people this year. I have them finishing at 10-2.

Also the linemakers have there season total at 7.5! Which is a steal in my book. Even the guy on ESPN radio said if he was a betting man he would pretty much slam that over.

Even though LSU last year had a terrible year they still only lost 3 games in the regular season. They will do much better this year.

I don't think Billy gonzales makes that big of a difference. O-line and D-line must be improved. IF they can do that, LSU can make some real noise.

Well one thing I can say for sure and have full confidence in is the run game will be better this year. Tommy Moffat the strength coach really focused on the oline this year. He said this summer the oline weighed in the best they have been since he been at LSU.

If there's one coach I can trust at LSU it's the strength coach Tommy Moffat. The man is one of the best in the business. When Saban first took the bama job his first call was Tommy Moffat to come to Bama.

But bama you're right if that o line and d line can improve I honestly can see a 10-2 record and even contending for a national title

And you wonder why you are one of the biggest losers in here. Who are trying to kid homer? You have the worst coach in the SEC, an offense that is next to nothing, and games at Florida, Auburn, and Arkansas, as well as your home loss to Alabama. Lose to UNC and you are lucky to finish the year at 7-5. LSU is a terrible ATS play, with a 13-24 ATS record over the past 3 years. Last season you were broke by the end of October. I'll give you until 11/6 to tap out this year. What a homer. Get it through your thick liquor filled head. LSU SUCKS!!!

LSU wins this game. Yates has lost the starting job and LSU's defense is niceeeeeeeee. Jordan Jefferson isnt a turnover machine he may hold onto the ball and take 34 sacks but does not throw alot of picks. Defensive struggle with LSU coming out on top IMO. BOL guys

tar hill times... 8/2 2010 did word just come out?

                                      T.J. Yates Feeling the Heat?
Certainly untested in real game situations, Bryn Renner yields experience to T.J. Yates. Thus Butch Davis has announced the latter as his No. 1 QB to start the season. But if Yates continues to exhibit the “yips” in the pocket, as he did in several games last season – including late in the fourth quarter of Carolina’s 19-17 loss to Pittsburgh in the Meineke Car Care Bowl, look for Davis to quickly look in Renner’s direction. Read on rivals where renner was jumping him. Maybe i was wrong. If tj yates is the starter if you look back at last season, any team with a decent defense he turns the ball over multiple times. Jordan Jefferson does not. Isnt Sturdivant going to be out for that game?

I have to imagine that Big Daddy took the future wager hoping to middle later with no intention of being on only one side, strongly believing that the line would move towards LSU being favored. If so looks like it could be a good move.

What does everyone think of the total, right now at 40.5?

I agree this one is a coin flip. Based on talent alone LSU should win easily, but UNC definitely has a big coaching advantage. Should be a fun one to watch!

that very well could be the case

BigDaddy I know LSU may have struggled the past two seasons but I honestly feel as if they will be much improved on offense. Last year much of the struggle was due to a lack if a offensive line. If LSU can get that run game going they will be a very good offensive unit. The run game would make Jefferson better.

This way you cross 3 key numbers for the side in a game that is expected to be low scoring. The total is pretty though but would rather lean with the over on the indoor track. Anyone else like this play?

Scored 33 pts against Miami, (thanks to 4 interceptions, one a TAINT), but only 3 pts against UVA. 7 pts vs GTech, 12 against UCONN, 19 against Duke, 17 against Pitt.

If you think the Heels can score three touchdowns, take UNC.

I don't. I think LSU cranks it up against the run, putting the game in Yates' hands, and that will spell disaster. Tar Heel fans don't travel for football. LSU fans are going to fill the Georgia Dome and the crowd noise will turn Yates into a deer in headlights.
