    Frontrunner for Heisman in 2010
Just wanted to get an idea of who everyone thinks will win the heisman this year.
I personally like Dion Lewis (RB from Pitt). Figured this thread will be a positive subject for a change.

I would love to see Ingram repeat but I have a gut feeling that Trent Richardson will be the star back from Bama this year. I thought he was better than Ingram last year.

Yeah, it's early. But everyone has an idea of who they think it might be. I'm interested in hearing the bold predictions now and not 8 weeks into the season (after the media has influenced their opinion). There are people discussing next season in NBA, so no it is not too early to discuss anything related to college football boieee.

Great point I always thought Richardson was overlooked last year.

Terrelle Pryor, QB -Ohio State, would be considered early on,I would think.

Noel Devine should be in the running but I can't see WVU having a good enough season to make him a contender.

If Locker gets UW to the RoseBowl I hope he will win it.

I am thinking it will probably be a place kicker or deep snapper this year. Oklahoma States kicker would be a frontrunner, Dan Bailey< is a senior and I feel he deserves it. He was 13 of 18 last year but has really improved over the years. He has my vote.

Richardson is fast and flashy but Ingram is so strong and has great balance on top of his speed and quickness. He is the total package. Richardson will be a big play guy but will never carry the load.

Ponder, Keenum, and Mallet have no chance. None of the 3 teams they play for will win big or beat the upper crust schools.

Also, there are alot of outstanding runningbacks that are gonna have a shot to finish in ahead of most of your QBs.

true, but my suggestions were based on the 1st weeks contenders for the media, not who will win at the end of the season. As season develops more RB and wr will come into the mix

Kellen Moore if boise goes on the run for the championship. It's sneaky but good.

It depends on several key games. Locker's Heisman run will be determined against Nebraska. Ponder and Harris go head on when Florida State meets Miami. Harris vs Pryor when Miami plays at Ohio State. Ingram vs Mallet when Alabama goes to Arkansas. Then there are the guys like Lewis of Pitt and Moore of Boise State who are just hanging around to pick up the pieces, just like Ingram of Alabama did when everything collapsed for the three amigo's (Tebow, McCow and Bradford) last season.

Anyone else thinking Joshua Nesbitt from Georgia Tech to get some dark horse chatter? Probably just my super biased hope. If they can take the ACC again though...

Oklahoma States kicker would be a frontrunner, Dan Bailey< is a senior and I feel he deserves it. He was 13 of 18 last year but has really improved over the years. He has my vote.
