I did not think you would have to steal signs when you schedule sub-power teams in non-conference and really only play Penn State and Ohio State in the Big Ten. But, they must practice the sign stealing during those other games for the big games.

The NCAA does not specifically prohibit sign-stealing, but off-campus, in-person scouting of future opponents is prohibited by NCAA Bylaw 11.6.1, which was enacted in 1994 as a cost-cutting measure designed to promote equity between well-funded programs and those with fewer resources. The 2023 NCAA football rule book also says that “any attempt to record, either through audio or video means, any signals given by an opposing player, coach or other team personnel is prohibited,” though it lists no punishment for violations.

I'm very tempted to take Michigan this week (-32.5) vs. Purdue. Does anyone else get the feeling that the Wolverines will come out pissed and angry and put a fukkin' beatdown on the Boilermakers? Kind of like making a statement type of game amid the cheating and sign stealing scandal! 45 - 10 is very well within the realm of possibility. But I just can't lay that many points regardless of the opponent. I just can't do it on principle alone.
