dude! i was thinking the same thing! iowa is the better team imo.. only rason GA tech is ranked higher is cause of the ACC tittle game.

this could only mean one thing... the books want you to take IOWA!

Iowa plays tough and they play physical.

This one is a no-play for me, I just can't justify laying 5 against Iowa, and Tech can get crazy hot with their offense.

I have tried to look at this from every angle, and just can't get a feel for it.

Tis game is as black and white as the uniforms will be tonite. Iowa is a big physical team. Ga. Tech is a smaller, but much faster team. Iowa is going to have to stop an offense that they have never played against before. Tech is going to have to stop an offense much more physical than they have played before. For all of you people who think you are smarter than the books, get a life. The books could care less who you take. You guys are really becoming a major joke in here. The line has been moving steadily upward, but will not hit 7, and that is all that counts. Anything from 4.5 to 6.5 is meaningless, for you players out there. It is just an attempt to get as close to as 50/50 split on the action as possible. This game is a pass for me. Two teams that have proven that they can win, and lose, on any given day.

I have the #1 reason anyone could want for not taking Iowa +5 or ML! BRANDON LANG IS ON IT!!!!!!! If Lang had picked Obama to win the election he wouldn't have gotten a damn vote in Harlem! That's how strong the lang curse is! I was liking Iowa myself but I wouldn't touch it now for anything, seriously.

The key in this game is Ricky Stanzi the only two games they lost all season was when he did not play and one of their losses was to Ohio state in overtime when they were 16 1/2 point under dogs and we saw what buckeyes did to Oregon actually if stanzi wouldn't have been injured they would be in the run for national title so I would say Iowa is by far the better team and the books are way off on the spread as they were for the rest of the bigten teams but this one they are even further off

ML's are always the wrong choice + or - they are worse than a parlay in the long run
ML's are simply there to even the money out on the spread cause the spread is always the largest bet andML's are a sucker bet more times than not

Lang being on Iowa can't give anyone a warm and fuzzy, but I still like Iowa. Having watched this team all year, I can promise you that they are much faster on defense than they get credit for...........................on offense expect a lot of short passes and running againest the fast defense of tech.................................... ........the under almost seems to be the play here.................................17-14 Iowa is my expectation..................Iowa only put up 15 points on Michigan state for crying out loud, a defense that got blown up by Texas Tech.............................Hawkeye D will hold, so expect a close one

Here, I'll help talk you out of it. Go to the SBR Best Bet thread. Look at all the guys who are on Iowa +points and ML. It seems like a no brainer. All the guys at the top of the BB standings are on Iowa.

Now bet on GT.

It almost never fails. When a bunch of good people here are on one play and it seems as close to a sure thing, pick the other side.

Every bowl game that has pitted greatDefense against great Offense has had the Defensive team winning as dogs or covering as favorites...Iowa may not win, but they are IN EVERY game they play...they have had a full month to scrimmage practice against GT's offensive schemes...you can't practice a playing a sick defense...the big boys are on Iowa for a reason
