FYI...I have had a couple different cappers I respect (and my bookie, which was weird) tell me to lay off Kansas State. Love UConn, liked Kentucky initially...then scratched it...then you convinced me to take another look. Hopefully we're on the right side. I think it's a strong play. GL to you this week...I am thinking of taking Carolina tonight in the pros. Any insights?

Here's what I wrote on the game in my thread,

Thursday Night Special

The Panthers come into this game with some confidence after playing 3 solid weeks of football. They'll also be jacked up with the home crowd behind them. This is not a great spot for Miami, especially without Brown. I picked against Miami last week and I'll be picking against them this week, as I almost hit the upset of the day on Sunday with Tampa Bay +400 ML. Miami's offense is good, but their defense was expossed once again, this time vs. a rookie QB. As bad as Delhome is, I think he may have a big night here.

Carolina Panthers -3 (-120) (5 Units)

Love the Michigan game. I dont think many people realize how big of a rivalry game this is. And although I'm not a big trends guy, Ohio State hasn't beat Michigan by 12 or more in Ann Arbor since 1961. Thats definitely a trend I like on my side.

Also really like the Arkansas & Rutgers games this week.

Cougs..I'm all over Arkansas. If you read my post last week, I fkn nailed UCF over Houston..my pick of the day.

I'm all over the Razorbacks tomorrow.I think they are a very solid SEC team and should probably be a top 25 team. 3 losses were on the road to Florida, Alabama, and Miss and the other loss was at home against Georgia the 2nd week of the season. All these games were close.

Miss St got beat up by bama at home and now head over to Arkansas looking to show case how good their offense can be. Ark is very underrated and haven't gotten the exposure they should because of their 4 losses.

Take Arkansas and watch them roll.

Good to hear it. Wisconsin was only an early lean. And as the week went on I saw Northwestern as the sharp side of that play. It was a great call Riggs. That team really has bought into Pat Fitzgerald. He's a great coach. As for kentucky, I certainly wasn't happy at halftime, but that was the tale of two halves in that one and I'm glad I was on the right side with ya. GL in the pros today. Only game I am on is Jacksonville. I know you like that one

with some of your plays, but as you can see I'm an avg 'capper when it comes to spreads.

I went 5-5, but 3-1 on totals. I think I'm going to stay in my lane, and just nail totals from now on.

Also, officially I was 7-1 this week, not 6-2. I previously counted Michigan as a loss, but they covered the 12.5. I was on the road driving, and not paying close enough attention.

It's a lot of chalk. I am a bit worried about that, but you have to play the team you think will make you money. It's not always the dog. There were some other plays that I really wanted to include but just couldn't pull the trigger on. NIU and Navy being among them. I even considered Notre Dame at +10.

Okie State is our only play this week, except for a couple of middles that did not quite materialize the way we wanted them to. We grabbled Okie State at +10.5 earlier in the week. I was suprised that it took so long for the lines to adjust becuase it was pretty common knowledge on Tuesday that Robinson was going to start for the Cowboys.

You do have a lot of chalk, but that should not matter. You have been successful this year, and I am sure that who was favored in a game was not a major concern. We play predominately favorites. They win cover more than they lose, so why not? GL.

Thanks for your thoughts. I didn't move on the Okie State game nearly soon enough, mostly because for whatever reason I didn't really give it a good look early in the week. I still think +8 should be a good play. Would love to have gotten it at 10 or higher though. I am on a pretty decent run of late. If you looked at the start to my year, you'd wonder how the hell I am still posting. It was a rough start to say the least, but things have steadily improved minus one or two mediocre weeks here and there. No problem with taking chalk, however I love a good dog with a chance to win outright. Also, like to mix it up a little more. Essentially though, you are right, and in the end, I made the plays I thought would make me money. GL to you and Happy Thanksgiving! (I don't say Turkey Day because I think it's another ploy for people to be politically correct and I won't be apart of that)
