Where are you hearing this? Not seeing anything at all regarding Kennedy being dismissed from the team. There's been smoke around him, but nothing concrete that I've seen.

I have heard nothing more about him, and his name was NOT mentioned on media day when Joe Wickline talked about his offensive line. All he said was taht they have to figure out who is going to play where. There were several players mentioned, but not Kennedy. I certainly do not doubt you, but I wonder why Best would post something like that if it were not true.

Not sure why he reported it either. Like I said earlier, there's been smoke around him, but it looks like he's hanging in there. I'm a subscriber at a couple of different fan sites, and both, as well as individual subscribers, are reporting that Kennedy is participating in this morning's "open" practice.
I saw that Wickline interview, also. Apparently, he's been moving his guys all around position wise and up and down the depth chart in an attempt to discover his best combinations. I also saw it reported that this juggling could last well into the season. I'll let you know if anything changes. Just want you guys to have accurate info.!

I apprecciate that. This is one of the more important threads in here. Everyone forgets about the injuries, and then when they lose, you hear: "I didn't know he was not playing." Now I try to limit this thread to players out for the entire season. There are many players who are out "Indefinately", whatever that means.

The Junior was the starting LT for Oregon. He suffered the exact same injury that he did in their bolw game against Texas. Some doctor obviously screwed up. The question I have is will he ever come back?

Another Texas Longhorn, Miles Onyegbule, is lost for the season, and this time the culprit is the seemingly ubiquitous ACL tear found throughout college/pro ball these days. He didn't figure to have much impact this season as he was a multi-positional backup who most recently spent time on the QB roster as an emergency fill-in for a very shallow depth chart. He's also spent time at WR and TE in the past.

Bad news in bunches for Cal


After a season plagued by more injuries than any in recent memory, California is already facing injury problems again this season. The Bears lost three players to injury Wednesday, including Nathan Broussard, the team's projected starting middle linebacker, to another torn ACL. Broussard missed the 2013 season with the same injury. Freshman Quentin Tartabull will also miss the season, and sophomore running back Jeffrey Coprich will miss the next four to eight weeks with a broken foot.

Rami Hammad, a red-shirt Freshman guard, has decided to transfer out of the University of Texas. He's not a huge loss in terms of being an impact player this year, but his departure does thin out the depth at the guard position some. According to the article linked below, this is the 12th player to either be released from or voluntarily transferred out of the program since Charlie Strong took over.
