Watch almost the entire Georgia north Texas game and most 2nd half of lsu game, it made me feel much better picking geogia. lsu defense is just not what it used to be and just maybe, bulldogs defense will get to Mettenberg and this guys completion percentage is just not that good

LSU wins outright easily. It's not as much mettenburger has gotten better than the system LSU runs on offense has changed. LSU has the talent on O last year just not the coaching.

At first sight you don't realize that the talent on LSUs offense is far superior than that of Georgia. Example * 2 WRs ARE NOMINATED FOR THE TOP WR in the country award* add Jeremy hill and JC copeland... This team will score alot.

As far as defense. In the words of LSUs D coordinator " tradition doesn't graduate"

Irrelevant just like both will be bowl teams is irrelevant. The bottom line is watching how the teams preform. LSU is totally different on offense now under Cam Cameron, and the nation will get a good site of just how amazing of a job Cam does with quarterbacks. Yes, I know. Lsu passing is looking so much better than they were last year. But their defense has dropped off considerably ( a good performance on both sides against weak teams like tcu and auburn doesn't mean that much). And we don't know how mettenberg will perform on the road, he has never had a real good road game, and the season opener doesn't count as a true rd game in Dallas.

Don't worry about LSUs defense.

LSUs defensive personel has completely changed every 2 years since his arrival. It's part of big time football. The names change every year but the defense stays dominant. I don't even know who will be on the team in 10 years, but I can tell you if John Chavis is the coach LSU will have a top defense.

IMO. Auburn was pretty one dimensional and they carved up LSU the entire 2nd half. LSU's D lost a lot in the draft, although their offense is better than last year.

Homer Alert, Homer Alert!!! Wildcorndog's input regarding LSU should be readily dismissed due to his Homer ties. In fact LSU is probably the only team in all of college football for which Wildcorndog can actually name a player. His input in general is a waste of font. His winning percentage is somewhere just north of 20. His weekly selections have earned Auto-Fade gold status, per the National Handicapping Association. His only internet connection is the downtown Job Center. I hear he's sleeping in an abandoned car and foraging through dumpsters behind Red Robin. This has been a Homer Alert. Proceed with caution.

Mettenberger sharp, 10 td's only I pick. Beckham & Landry could be playing on Sundays and have the 10 Mettenberger Td passes between them.

LSU RB Jeremey Hill is beast and crashed through the Auburn D like wet paper for 184 yards on the ground. Will he do that against Dogs, doubt it. LSU's offense is improving , has weapons and they protect the rock.

LSU defense is always good. Both teams lost stars to NFL. 2H lack of focus last wk against Auburn air attack will have LSU D coaches cracking the whip, this wk in practice.

Mettenberger has history with Georgia and Murray. Respect for Murray with 1082 yards via the air and 72% completion rate. But, the LSU is defense is stronger in my opinion. Georgia has had the tougher schedule and we'll see which defense wins the battle come saturday. Both teams have plenty of firepower on O.

Tigs are brutal at home, especially under the lights. First big road game is tough. Miles should have them ready. Come to think of it, they are 8-1 on the road straight up last two years. Richt always seems to choke more often than not against top teams. I'll take the points. Should be a good game. gl with your pick

Mettenbergs completion percentage is 64%, but only 50% against tcu, and then they played uab, kent state, and auburn while average 20 attempts on them. counting the tcu game, he has never had a good game on the rd. lsu will get some points with hill running the ball, but this lsu defense will be tear apart by Murray and gurley.

Yes, Mettenberg will light up the scoreboard because he has great arms, except like half of his throws will prob go to his favorite target- the ground! I bet u Tim tebow can bench more and prob throw a football farther than Mettenberg! I know he has great arms and can deep throws, but his accuracy and his receivers r definitely questionable at times, and u must be an idiot if u don't think it matters for Mettenberg being rd, just go look at his numbers on rd or neutral site games. I wouldn't feel confident at all if the game is played at tiger stadium, but playing in Georgia is huge factor for both teams.

Let's cut the B.S. that is really flying in here and get to the bottom line. First, anyone who thinks that the LSU's offense is "far superior to Georgia's" is out of his mind. Ofcourse just look who osted that and that is all you need to know. Another know-it-all who rarely wins. If Mettenberg were that good, he would still be at Georgia and Murray would be at LSU. While Georgia's defense may have immproved a bit, they are no match for LSU's defense, which is not was it used to be, but still much better than what Georgia has to offer. The bottom line is that LSU has improved overall and Georgia has not. Georgia can afford to lose a Conference game now that they have disposed of South Carolina and Florida has no QB. LSU still has Mississippi, Alabama, and A&M to play. This game means a lot more to LSU than it does to Georgia. I'll take LSU and the 3 points here.

5.5 units on Georgia , have them -3 -105'at 5dimes now, this was also the first line I jumped on last Sunday, but the limit wasn't very high back then. Easy Georgia win , but that might be a back door cover on the lsu teaser.
