I know several of our good posters have decided once again to leave the board, or no longer post on the forum itself, and only share information through the personal messaging system because of a few posters who prefer to continue to antagonize/flame, and because of the lack of moderation from the administration. Sad but it is reality.

You're a very good poster Sam, and someone we all appreciate, but to know what I am referring to you have to look no further than the comments on the thread I posted on yesterday. "Fresno St. Verse Rutgers"

Urban my friend, you went too far with that post. I am a bit upset with that post. You know better than to be posting that B.S. First, you cannot prove that this was your account. Second, if you could, someone who knows how to use these commputers could rip you off in about 10 minutes. It happens all of the time. I really enjoy your opinions and write ups, but don't be posting that kind of garbage. Nothing good will come out of it. Stick to what you do best.

Now as far as losing good posters, it is happening a lot in here. Workhorse was excellent and kept this forum going, but the crap posters finally got to him. I think guys with fewer than 100 possgts should be limited to some type of "Newby's" thread until they prove that they are worthy of posting in here.

absolutely, i'm thinking of same thing myself. the lack of moderation and problems with the same few posters is frustrating....... the whole way some people address others on the internet is a shame (and there are prominent forums much worse than this... 2p2 comes to mind)

i think things pick up come the season. really would not want to lose the insights of a few posters here. the guy who played at florida and lives in texas now especially. but there are many other good ones (and i get saved simply by people's basic knowledge, that i have missed eg. starting QB out, neutral field game etc.)

anyway, too much attack here. i attack too but only in response (which i need to improve myself)

Im not sure what you mean by "worthy" BigDaddy. People come and go on any board. The number of posts isnt always indicative of credibility. Reasoning behind the selection is more weighty for me. I have been betting for about 20 yrs and have done extremely well the last 6 or 7. The turnaround is due to experience and paying attention to knowledgeable people including you. Newbies" as you call them might be new to the board but not at all "new" to handicapping. Ive chosen to take the time to contribute to this board this year and hope I help all to do well (assuming, of course, I do). Posting on the board takes time and effort many arent willing to give. We all look at the board experience of the poster and give it the weight we see fit. I do that and assume others will do it too. Bashing posters is a bitch move, let people post picks and explain why.
Example was urbans epoch on Fresno st. VERY informative, succinct and influenced my week 1 card. The fact he aint a "newbie" also added weight.
I dont doubt that valuable cappers left because of bashing, thats a damn shame, a DAMN shame. Lets not let it happen anymore.....cool?

i never look at someone's low post count. to me it's irrelevent.

in fact, on another forum when i see someone has done 20-50 posts per day over a reasonable period i would say almost invariably they are poor posters.

I had to go across the street. Lots of things going on daily there, building excitement for the season, and not this back and forth u suck crap. Lots of games being discussed across the street. Here, it has been quiet.

That is very good to know, as it saves me a lot of time and effort.

With many of the main posters of information gone before the season starts, this forum has become a very sad place with the trolls and antagonists like above. It is these kind of posters who have made the forum a kiddie playground, instead of a respectful forum that provides useful information to help others.

went to the other side of the street as well. Seems to be much better conversation going on over there and none of the trash talking. Everyone just trying to give their insights and thoughts on games. Refreshing for sure.

Georgia - Clemson. I do not like betting against SEC team but Georgia usually does not play up to snuff in the first game. Georgia lost a lot on Defense. Murray doesn't have a great history on the road. Game is at Clemson. I wouldn't bet the farm but Clemson looks like the play here.

Saw it Huck. Good write-up. Might stay away from this game. I will want to know more about injuries, etc as we get closer to the game. It sounds like Clemson stadium is going to be rockn loud and it could make it a little harder on quarterback Murray.
