BYU starting freshman QB Taysom Hill behind a very bad offensive line laying a ton of points. Hawaii is absolutely horrible, should be a stay away game but most of us will pick a side lol. Any angles here?

This is a line where you look at it and have to look twice. Great friend of mine is big BYU fan and obviously that means he isn't a gambler. I asked him yesterday as a die-hard BYU fan what he thinks this line should be, he said, "I don't know, BYU -13 maybe?".
Hard to imagine this BYU offense can beat anyone by 28 points....but that makes me think this line is begging for sharps to bet BYU and lay the points.
After watching Nevada put up almost 70 on Hawaii last week...I'm actually leaning toward the OVER in this one. Nevada offense is at least 2x as good as BYU offense...but BYU is a different animal at home than on the road. I imagine the BYU D/ST will kick in a TD in this one as well.Comment -

He is pretty much a replica of the starter with the back injury. Watched them both play. The freshman has upside and hopefully for BYU doesn't turn it over as much, but they are very very similar. For me it's Hawaii or no play unless you wanna bet the o/u. Like I said if Hawaii can get 14 garbage points they cover easily.Comment -
BYU offense isn't that great, but that's against a good defense like Boise State. This freshman QB can run well enough and the defense will give them good enough field position that they'll get 4 or 5 TDs. I see a score like 35-3. BYU and under for me.
But like a lot of others have said, it's a garbage game. I'm not some BYU/Hawaii maven so I'll keep the bet smallish.Comment -
I think leaving Riley Nelson in there is the right move. Boise State's defense is really really good, and a guy like Nelson can carve up the Warriors' D, to where this other guy I'm not sure, I've only seen him run around and throw a few short passes.
I can't expect anything out of Hawaii at all however. Norm Chow is an overrated OC that got the job in part because he's part Asian and can recruit local kids away from other western schools that are taking them all. Bad hire. I banked on Nevada -7 big last week, and just can't count on the +26, even though that's the only bet worth considering.Comment -

Hawaii is giving up points by the bushel. They can't stop anything. As you look at the 21 pt game last year that BYU won this Hawaii team can't stop the BYU offensive scheme. Norm Chow is in his first year at Hawaii and he's having trouble getting his team to gel. This game will not have much defense played in it. And after BYU lost last week in a poor offensive effort I think they explode.Comment -
