when i thought about doing mma, a while back, push kick or side kick to the knee is the first technique that came to mind, it break knees , its fairly easy to applky and if it connects it will win you the fight ... if its legal of course, so is it legal or not the announcer seemed to say it isnt..?

It's illegal in karate tournaments and kickboxing but in mma i don't believe it's technically illegal, strikes to the knees happen often and I've never seen a ref stop the fight and call foul or warn the fighter. It's a very dangerous move when applied properly it can completely tear knee ligaments. But this is mma and technically you can break your opponents arms , legs , joints and be considered victorious.
