Anyone bet on Prater? I was debating on throwing a small amount on him just because of the competition he fought/has beaten but for him to win by a Silva dq

Why was this fight so much of a surprise?
Sorry but I wasn't watching it.

Prater caught a knee by Silva and at first everyone thought it was a win by Silva with a quick tko due to strikes while both were on the ground but Silva actually got a dq because the strikes were supposedly to the back of the head so Prater ends up getting a win.

Ahhh....in other words the ref probably had money on Prater.

Probably not the case, but it'd be silly to rule it out as a possibility.
Although, from what I saw, several shots landed to the back of the head.

It's a very tough spot for Mario, but I don't think disqualification was the correct decision. Silva damaged Prater badly with big shots that were clean and legitimate. If Mario wanted to punish Silva for illegal shots after the legal ones that did significant damage, then he should have broken up the two, taken a point from Silva, and given Prater time to recover.
There is almost no chance Mario had money on the fight. The MMA refs are all pretty honest and solid. Yes, they make mistakes, but they do alright for the difficulty their job sometimes brings.
NYSportsFan knows nothing about MMA and wants to stir the pot with calls for rigging like the asshole degenerates do in the NFL forums.

Yeah to be fair the very first follow up shot did clearly hit the back of the head (which Rogan overlooked).

If anything it seemed like Rogan had money on Silva. He was adamant that at worst 1 glancing blow hit the back of the head, when I think it's pretty clear there were at least two if not more.
Don't remember seeing a commentator go at a ref like that before in any sport. I would not have wanted to be Mario in that spot on live TV.
