Just bad. The fight, the judging (30-27?), just plain bad.

Ya with 2 min left in fight I predicted to my friends that Hawn would get a take-down within the last min for the win. The 30-27 perplexed me too. I can't say I'm surprised though.

He got the TD with under 10 seconds left I believe. I bet that swayed the judges who gave him the 3rd, but really.. what does getting a take down with no time left even accomplish? it's not an attempt to finish the fight. Plus he ate an up-kick or two in the process.
I hate the idea of "stealing a round" by getting a takedown with no time left to do anything with it, I think they weigh it way to highly.

Yeah I like this as well, it was at +210 originally I think. Im findin it hard to imagine either fighter finishing the other, I guess a TKO is possible. But we've seen plenty of fights between buddys in past go to decision so I think this is most likely scenario.

Looking ahead to UFC 129 bets I'm liking so far:
Jose Aldo ITD -180
Jason Brilz -120
Rory Macdonald -105
Possibly Jake Ellenberger if it keeps improving. Currently at -180
Ivan Menjivar - depending on the line

what do you think about John makdessi ? Makdessi was lecturing audinwood so well that its impossible to believe that he wont against kyle watson. He also seem to have good takedown defense which may able him to withstand watsons only chane, his BJJ.
Makdessi also seem razor quick, athlethic, which makes his takedown defense even better pluss working with gsp.

I actually have not seen enough from Makdessi or Watson to make a good decision here. I wouldn't value the fight with Audinwood much because I don't think he was UFC caliber at all.

Makdessi is undersized for 155 and still isn't an awesome defensive wrestler. That said, he's got serious game and is swiftly improving working under Firas Zahabi. If he can stop Watson from getting a hold of him, he's going to absolutely bust him up.
Also, it's worth noting that Watson is no more of a UFC quality fighter than Audinwood is.

Aldo at -180 seems like a bargain. he is one of the most impressive fighters along with Jones, Silva, and GSP. Really dominated Faber and turned his legs purple. I think Aldo kos hominick inside two rounds.

But Hominick is much better striker than Faber is.. Why do you think he can KO him that fast?

I think you answered that one by yourself...Aldo is a better striker than both IMO and of course Hominicks game is to stand and trade. This should be a relatively fast one, and I love the ITD bet if you are going with Aldo.

Madkessi was supposed to fight Jonathan Brookins so I don't think this guy is a bust! I was in Montreal for his fight against Audinwood and it was astonishing, this guy i so quick and elusive and he's training with Tristar! This guy is a prospect in the division and his striking will be too much for Watson. I dont expect the line to be that low for Makdessi because he's fighting a guy that has been to TUF and people knows more from Watson than Madkessi. I'm taking Madkessi at whatever price!

It's from 5Dimes. Under fighting check the props box. There you'll see props for all the main card fights. Currently Aldo inside the distance is -200. And yes I think Brilz at +$$$ is a good bet.

You got massively unlucky with that one; I don't think anyone predicated it would go all five given the style match-up. Aldo looked really, really drained.

Did any one see the piece on espn where Aldo said he let up at the end to make sure it went 5 rounds? Here it is.
I've heard he let up, he had a problem cutting b/c he added muscle and needed to adjust, and also that he was ill leading up to the fight. No clue which excuse is right (maybe all?)... but I think we can all agree he wasn't himself. He's fighting Mendes next right? Wonder what the lines will look like there. I don't think Chad will be "money" in this one.
