Big mma news lately... come discuss
UFC has been sponsored by Bud light.

Elite XC has signed with Cbs.. which means Kimbo will become a mainstream asset.

Ufc 84 is shaping up like this..

    Sherk/penn
    Tito/Machida
    Thiago/Evans
    Jardine/wandy...

The first 2 are major major news stories, but UFC 84 looks rediculosly good. I may save up and go to that event with my buddy in vegas, or just load all my money on betting those 4 fights....

    discuss.

The best thing is they beat the UFC to it. Only having the UFC as a main player is bad for MMA.

I agree. I hope these other organizations keep going strong and keep the UFC honest. UFC is certainly the name brand in the sport, but they are keeping too close to the boxing model of just hyping the big ticket matches and the PPV thing. I see the NFL as a model of how sports should work. Have parity, show the product on national tv, at least keep the appearance of integrity above the table. UFC needs to try harder to appease the fans that are their future.
