Johnny, let's go to the Tale of the Tape:

    *Loma:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasiliy_Lomachenko
Lomachenko is one of the most successful amateur boxers of all time, possessing a record of 396 wins and 1 loss, with that loss avenged twice.
    ...Wow, very impressive.

As a pro, 17-2. Right off the bat, that looks like a STRONG dog that's paying 2/1.

    What about this guy Haney?
...Loma is ELEVEN years older than this guy.

I'm on Haney by decision -160. This one likely goes to the cards but if anybody scores a KO its probably going to be Lomachenko because he has the power. It'll be a good fight but I went with the younger fighter.

Salud, Gum. This is one of the few fights I'd pay to see.

Dumb question: If I wanted to watch this fight, how would I do so?

See my Loma notes above. I won't claim to be a Boxing sharp. But Loma IS a +230 dog...as a guy who has won more than 99% of his last 416 fights (413-3)!!!

If you want to pay to watch it you have to go to ESPN Plus and order it. It's $59.99 which is a reasonable price for a Boxing PPV these days. Loma is an underdog because he didn't look good in his last fight and he's 35 but one of the reasons he didn't look good in his last fight is he was forced to take time off because of the war in Ukraine and having to serve his country. Loma can absolutely win this fight but I think the kid will be too tough for him to knock out and he will lose on points due to starting slow which has been his custom in previous fights.

    Thank you, gummer:

*Didn't know that about Loma. Fair to say his head might be elsewhere (in UKR).

Yes. When I think Live Dog, I think of the Loma resume.

If someone told me that Haney's record was versus a bunch of Tomato Cans, I'd be compelled to bet Loma. In Boxing, you do see the fighter that LOOKS un-beatable...until he gets beat.

As for the TV price, thanks. I'm so sticky on this stuff nowadays. I don't feel like succumbing to anyone...and $59.99 sounds like a lot.

I get it I do Boxing and pay per view in 2023 is too damn expensive. I am watching this fight thanks to my withdrawing of my winnings from Underdog Fantasy so I paid for it but not with my own hard earned money. Its going to be a good one so I'm looking forward to it. You could always stream it on something like Streameast but I don't like doing that because I don't trust doing that on my computer. It does work though so you can google streameast and it will pop up but I always think illegally streaming pay per views is risky even though I did it last time with UFC and I was able to watch without anything happening to my computer.

Round 7: Haney is really working that body with lefts and rights every time Loma closes the distance. Haney also connected on a flush counter left hook upstairs in the closing moments. With this pace, it could come down to conditioning, and these are two of the best conditioned athletes in the world. 10-9, Haney. 68-65, Haney.

Some dispute on who's winning. Lot of close rounds. But Haney is doing more damage.

Very tough fight to score that's why the live odds on DK are basically a pickem right now. I think it might be headed for either a split decision or a draw which would be very interesting and acceptable imo because its tough to say whose winning this fight so far.

Differing opinions. Could definitely be a Split Decision:

Round 9: Haney is simply beating Lomachenko to the punch. When Lomachenko does good work, it's in spurts and never sustained. Another Haney round. 10-9, Haney. 88-83, Haney.

Loma won round 10 he had him hurt badly. Haney's corner is convinced he's winning but Loma has come on strong in the latter half of the fight. I lean slightly to Loma winning this fight right now.

A big tenth round for Lomachenko, who landed the most telling punches and seemed to stun Haney with a combination.

...Chance for LOMA to stop the youngster in the L2 rounds?

Loma is winning round 11 it's close man and it all coming down to the final round. Been a great fight so far and both fighters have put on a show. Tremendous stuff but I got Loma winning a narrow decision.

Awesome fight very difficult to score but I really think Loma deserves to have his hand raised because he did more in the championship rounds and the latter half of the fight.

Round 12: Lomachenko closes the fight with another round where he was able to beat Haney to the punch and swarm him with stinging shots. Excellent fight competed at the highest level. We go to the scorecards. 10-9, Loma. 115-113, Haney.

Also, could be a Majority Draw.

If it goes Draw/Draw/xxx...that's a Draw.
