One last play. I kept going back and forth on this one in terms of a straight up winner, but once the handicaps came out I loved this one. I think Simpson/Munoz will be very competitive, a very tight fight. If it finishes inside the distance, I think Simpson will be the one to do it. Otherwise I see it going to a decision. And if it does, I don't see either guy winning all 3 rounds. By playing Simpson +3.5 I get the underdog in a fight that I think could easily end up a split decision.

Also adding one small flyer for fastest sub. There are potentially a handful of subs on this card, but I think this has some good value.

Well the fights were amazing and I won some units so Im a happy guy!

UFC 123 Results: +4.665 units

Overall it was a great event to go to. All the fights were great (except for the Harris fight) and lots of finishes. Plus RAMPAGE got er done! Some thoughts on the event.

-Tyson Griffin got absolutely robbed. The crowd was in utter shock when they announced the scores. I had it 30-27 Griffin. He clearly took the first 2 rounds IMO and the 3rd was a toss up. Lentz got a couple TD's but did no damage with them. Tyson dropped him a couple times in the round and was picking him apart in the standup

-Paryisan had no reason being in the ring. He looked dreadful

-Paul Kelly looked very good. His standup was crisp and he showed some good groundwork. His crucifix was devastating. I couldnt believe how long it took the ref to stop the fight. Brutal elbows.

-I dunno if they showed any of the undercard fights on the broadcast but if they did I hope they showed Barboza. This kid was unreal. Ridiculous leg kicks, solid TDD, good ground game. It looks like he will be a great prospect. But man, those kicks were INSANE. I dunno how many times he dropped Lullo with them, but I was starting to feel bad for the guy.

-The Lauzon/Sotiropolous fight was one of my favs. Lauzon looked great. I think he was winning the fight until he got tapped. Great win for Sotiropolous.

-Damn you Phil Davis! COuldn't you get the sub a little bit faster? lol. It was a good showcase fight for him

-Opposite of Davis, Harris looked dreadful. It looked like he didn't give a shit if he won or lost. No urgency, no pressure, nothing.

-What can I say about BJ?? Unbelievable. The Crowd went crazy. It was awesome and cashing at the same time is always nice lol.

-My favourite moment of the entire card was hearing the Pride music for Rampage's entrance. I went absolutely insane and had chills. For a guy who had the flu and almost had to pull out of the fight, I thought he looked pretty good. Machida looked scared to engage early. I thought the judges got the score right. I had 29-28 Rampage with him winning the first 2 round. It was a very close fight though, but I was very happy Rampage won.

I wish!! I actually couldnt remember the time of the finish in the Foster fight so I wasn't sure if I had won or not. I thought it was faster than the Lauzon fight but I see today it wasn't lol.

that aside,i finished in the black(thanks to some pending parlays and davis)......but it was a weird weekend for me in the nfl... a few odd bounces went the other way late and turned a decent weekend into a twilight zone episode...felt like i spent the weekend in a goth club....

I've learned to minimize my betting on the NFL to the change I find in my couch because it honestly feels like a crap shoot half the time lol. I'm glad you still finished positive even with the Machida loss!

Thanks! I had pretty decent seats. I was dead center with the octagon, 2nd level but near the bottom of it. I have sat lower level before and this was just as good because I was looking down on the cage so there was no obstructions or interference from the fence, corners, cameramen, etc.

if wilkinson falls into a guillotine....if he even goes to the ground... he`s denser than uranium......

mckenzie is frail...his stand-up was weak...just keep it standing...

but something tells me,this kid isn`t all that sharp...

edit...just got some positive feedback from vaughany and terpkeg...i moved on wilkinson at +160 at brobury....

I'd say McKenzie has the lesser brain cells of the 2 . I think all the huffing and drinking he does in Alaska has numbed his mind. But in all seriousness, I don't see much potential in him. His standup is sloppy, his defence is bad and his cardio is lacking immensly for a 155lb. He doesn't have much in the takedown department either. Wilkinson's standup is much more polished and he should be able to pick apart McKenzie on the feet. McKenzie may have a slight advantage in the clinch, but I haven't seen enough from either of them in that category to really tell. I'd be going bigger on this if Wilkinson wasn't so green and prone to mistakes. I thought the lines would be flipped with Wilkinson around -165. Who knows, maybe the linesmakers are setting the bait, but McKenzie showed me very little on the show (for whatever thats worth).

Thanks bud, you too. Na I couldn't find his last 4 fights. The only one I was interested in was vs. Dough Evans, but I scoured the net and couldnt find it. I watched a bunch of his old fights and his IFL ones. Also, there's some sparring sessions that are a couple weeks old that Team Quest put out on youtube. His lands looked fast, but his stance is pretty stationary and he keeps his hands pretty low. As well, he doesnt seem to use much lateral movement - it leaves him open for leg kicks IMO.
