Hope he makes a ton of money for whoever will pick him up next. Lineker was saying he couldn't get a fight and had to work in a pet shop to make ends meet. That's nuts for one of the most exciting mma fighters competing today. Would love to see him wreck shop in ONE or Bellator and he gets paid what he's worth.
It sucks but Lineker has already fought a lot of the BW division in the UFC and he wasn't going to get a title shot anytime soon. We'll get to see him make a run in different orgs where fighters won't be able to turn down fights against him.

Bizarre how UFC fighters like Leslie Smith who were making around $50k per fight, bite the hand that feeds them, only to condemn themselves to bellator where they'll be paid far less.
Wonder if Lineker is mad over his fight with Cory Sandhagen where significant strikes and total strikes statistics might have been heavily biased in Sandhagen's favor. Wouldn't mind if they eliminated those numbers from commentary due to the massive amount of human error that typically goes into them.
On the bright side, it does set up Kyoji Horiguchi vs John Lineker in Rizin.
Top 5er for me as well.....Him, Paul Craig, Tony Ferg, ect

Dumb bitch he is the only past/present presidential candidate who has a election policy concerning MMA fighters.

Here's Why UFC Released John Lineker | Luke Thomas
The UFC decided to release John Lineker, long-time flyweight and bantamweight contender. Why would they get rid of a fighter who was world class with wins over Marlon Vera, Michael McDonald, John Dodson, Ian McCall and others? Why would they get rid of a guy who was certifiably exciting and a known knockout (KO) artist? The answer lies not in their inability to recognize that, but the premium they place on fighters who don't trash the organization, don't miss weight and don't get injured. This video is not a defense of the UFC's decision. Lineker should not have been released, but with the UFC's schedule on ESPN expanding the number of shows, they badly need fighters who don't create problems in meeting their content demands. That's not necessarily fair, but it does show what they value and what a potential work stoppage would mean for the UFC if the fighters ever organized one.
