Oh lord, 5dimes released Font at +190, think if they didnt have restrictions on those openers and mma marked had higher liquidity?

                    Day dreaming....

It’s a bit high. Think opened at -170 or so right?

I lean Lee here, she was actually one of the fighters who i instantly felt would be a good bet. But i didnt have time to break the fight down, and now it may be too late.

                              Initial thoughts.

Matt Wiman hasn't fought professionally since 2014. Him fighting in the UFC in 2019 is like a sci fi movie where a derelict spacecraft that spent 50 years drifting through space is re-discovered and we wonder what type of horrors will be found.

Bruno Silva is Henry Cejudo's teammate, not certain why he's a big dog here with his KO of Alexander Shlemenko which says his stand up game must be half decent and training with Henry you would have to think his wrestling game is too. Can't say I remember ever seeing Bruno Silva fight though.

Justin Bieber challenged Tom Cruise to a boxing match on twitter. Perhaps Bieber is the UFC opponent CM Punk needed but was unable to secure. Who here supports second chances?

I took 3 units on Font at +150, its +110 now. I had hoped to hedge out a little, but the bookies has Lineker at -150 haha

Anyway, i think Rob Font wins, but it will be very close. Its a 50/50 fight and i feel like i have a small edge.

That Rob Font and John Lineker fight seems like a coin flip in my opinion. Value on Font.

                                            Event Background

The event will mark the promotion's first visit to South Carolina.[3]

A featherweight bout between Renato Moicano and former UFC Featherweight Championship challenger Chan Sung Jung has been slated to serve as the event headliner.[4]

A middleweight bout between Markus Perez and Deron Winn was scheduled for the event. However, it was reported on May 9, 2019 that Perez had pulled out of the fight due to injury.[5] Winn will now face fellow newcomer Bruno Silva.[6]

A bantamweight bout between Cody Stamann and Rob Font was scheduled in the event. However, Stamann pulled out due to an injury and he was replace by John Lineker.[7]

Why did significant stats guys play Lineker dirty when he fought Cory Sandhagen.

They underrated Lineker's strikes while exaggerating the number of strikes Sandhagen landed

125 lbs.: Ariane Lipski vs. Molly McCann

Ariane Lipski (11-4) entered the Octagon as one of the division’s top prospects thanks to a nine-fight win streak that saw her win and defend the KSW Women’s Flyweight title. Despite winding up a significant favorite over Joanne Calderwood, “The Violence Queen” had no answers for “Dr. Kneevil’s” grappling, losing a unanimous decision in Brooklyn.
Her nine-fight streak included five (technical) knockouts and two submissions.
Molly McCann (8-2) brought a six-fight win streak of her own into UFC, only to suffer similar misfortune against grappling specialist Gillian Robertson in her debut. “Meatball” bounced back 10 months later against Priscilla Cachoeira, fighting through some grotesque eye swelling to claim a unanimous decision victory.
She stands two inches shorter than Lipski at 5’4.”
This has “Fight of the Night” written all over it. Indeed, both of these women are extremely aggressive and entertaining when they don’t have to worry about takedowns. I expect nonstop exchanges until either the final bell rings or one of them hits the deck.
As fond as I am of “Meatball,” this looks like Lipski’s fight to lose. “The Violence Queen’s” edge in power and strike variety should serve her well in the sort of slugfest McCann will offer. Expect the Brazilian to take a competitive, but clear decision after 15 wild minutes.
                                                          Prediction: Lipski via unanimous decision

185 lbs.: Deron Winn vs. Eric Spicely

Deron Winn (5-0) — a protege of Daniel Cormier who came within spitting distance of making the 2016 Olympic wrestling squad — didn’t let his 5’5” frame stop him from stopping his first four opponents in one round apiece at Light Heavyweight. This led to a step up against UFC veteran “Filthy” Tom Lawlor in Nov. 2018, and though Winn had to go to the judges, he came out victorious on the strength of his boxing and wrestling.
He is nine inches shorter than Eric Spicely (12-4), but gives up just two inches of reach.
Spicely (12-4) had an unsuccessful The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) run and fell to Sam Alvey in his Octagon debut, but emerged as an unexpected contender with submissions of Thiago Santos and Alessio Di Chirico. Three consecutive stoppage losses led to his return to the regional circuit, where he knocked out Leo Pla and fellow UFC vet Caio Magalhaes in one round apiece.
He replaces Bruno Silva, who himself replaced Markus Perez, on just five days’ notice (details).
I don’t mean this as a knock on Spicely’s abilities, but he’s the least interesting of Winn’s three scheduled opponents. “Blindado” Silva has colossal power and recently knocked out two of Russia’s best Middleweights, while Perez’s funky offense could have exploited Winn’s lack of top-level experience. Spicely, though a dangerous grappler, doesn’t present any standout stylistic issues, as he’s unlikely to get on top of Winn and is outgunned on the feet.
Winn’s issues are going to come against rangy, mobile strikers who can make him work, and Spicely just isn’t that. “Zebrinha’s” last three losses have come in the second round, so expect Winn to keep the streak going with a point-blank hook.
Prediction: Winn via second-round technical knockout

135 lbs.: Anderson dos Santos vs. Andre Ewell

Anderson dos Santos (20-7) — the last man to defeat current star prospect Ricky Simon — had won three straight when he replaced Enrique Barzola on short notice in Buenos Aires. “Berinja,” stepping up in weight, had few answers for the offense of Nad Narimani, ultimately losing a unanimous decision.
Eleven of his 16 stoppage wins have come via submission.
Andre Ewell (14-5) likewise made his Octagon debut as a late replacement, but found considerably more success, edging former Bantamweight champion Renan Barao via split decision at UFC Fight Night 137. This led to a clash with stud prospect Nathaniel Wood, who exploited Ewell’s grappling issues to choke him out late in the third.
“Mr. Highlight” stands six inches taller than dos Santos and will have a massive nine-inch reach advantage.
This is a “two true outcome” fight: either dos Santos exploits Ewell’s leaky grappling defense or Ewell uses his freakish proportions to crack dos Santos’ chin when the Brazilian inevitably leaves it out for him. It’s the sort of fight that’s going to be uncompetitive in opposite directions depending on where it takes place; one wins easily if it’s on the mat, the other wins easily if it stays on the feet.
Even with Ewell’s wrestling issues, that reach advantage and dos Santos’ iffy striking defense are too much for me to overlook. “Berinja” gets chinned before he has the chance to get his Brazilian jiu-jitsu going.
Prediction: Ewell via first-round technical knockout

145 lbs.: Kevin Aguilar vs. Dan Ige

Kevin Aguilar (17-1) emerged victorious in his late-notice “Contender Series” bout against Joey Gomez, but the split decision win wasn’t enough to earn him a contract. “The Angel of Death” ultimately made his Octagon debut as a short-notice replacement against Rick Glenn, out-striking both “The Gladiator” and subsequent foe Enrique Barzola to extend his current win streak to nine.
Ten of his professional mixed martial arts (MMA) victories have come via (technical) knockout.
Dan Ige (11-2), by contrast, got a contract right after “Contender Series” for choking out Luis Gomez, but lost a wide decision to fellow series alumnus Julio Arce in his Octagon debut. “Dynamite” has since won three straight, including a 77-second submission of Danny Henry in March that earned him “Performance of the Night.”
He has finished five professional fights via submission and another three via (technical) knockout.
Ige may not be the highest-ranked fighter, but if Aguilar can get past him, “The Angel of Death” is ready for a Top 15-ranked opponent. Aguilar’s takedown defense is his biggest lingering flaw, and while he did a great job against Barzola, Ige’s top control is exponentially more dangerous. Both the Hawaiian’s ground-and-pound and submissions are enough to end the fight quickly should he spend any length of time on top.
Aguilar does have one of the division’s best jabs, though, and Ige struggled to get his wrestling going against a similarly tricky striker in Julio Arce. Plus, Aguilar’s just looked damn good lately, and while Ige’s toughness should allow him to survive Aguilar’s power, it won’t save him from getting sprawled-and-brawled for 15 fun minutes.
                                                          Prediction: Aguilar via unanimous decision

155 lbs.: Luis Pena vs. Matt Wiman

Luis Pena (6-1) was an early favorite to win The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 27 before bowing out with an injury, ultimately debuting at the Finale with a submission of castmate Richie Smullen. A split decision loss to Mike Trizano prompted an attempted drop to Featherweight, where he missed weight by 2.5 pounds, but managed to defeat Steven Peterson in March.
“Violent Bob Ross” has dispatched four professional opponents via four different types of submission.
Matt Wiman (16-7) made his Octagon debut in 2006, winding up on the wrong end of an iconic Spencer Fisher flying knee as part of a 10-5 Octagon run. He’s won three of his last four and six of his last eight, but hasn’t fought since a decision over Isaac Vallie-Flagg in 2014.
He stands five inches shorter than Pena at 5’10.”
The annoying thing about analyzing this fight is that a pre-hiatus Wiman was a stylistic nightmare for Pena, boasting solid wrestling, impeccable submission defense, and brutal ground-and-pound. If he’s still got it — or even just something resembling “it” — he can absolutely maul Pena the way he did another lanky submission specialist in Cole Miller.
Breaking a 4.5-year layoff against a fighter as uniquely odd as Pena is a mighty tall ask, though, especially considering Pena’s improving takedown defense. The upset is potentially there if Wiman can survive long enough to shake off the rust, but I say Pena clips him before that can happen.
Prediction; Pena via first-round technical knockout

265 lbs.: Allen Crowder vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik

The third “Contender Series” alumnus on this undercard, Allen Crowder (10-3) outlasted Don’Tale Mayes to earn himself a contract, only to fall to Justin Willis in his Octagon debut four months later. His second UFC bout saw him score an unexpected victory over Greg Hardy by virtue of the latter hitting him with a blatantly illegal knee (details).
“Pretty Boy” has not gone the distance since his third professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fight, knocking out five.
Jairzinho Rozenstruik (7-0) — whose most notable previous victory came over unbeaten Andrey Kovalev in Rizin — answered the call when Junior Albini needed a new opponent in Fortaleza. Though “Bigi Boy” struggled in the first round, Rozenstruik came alive in the second frame to knockou Albini with a scary flurry.
Five of his six knockout victories have come in the first round.
The Rozenstruik hype train remains at the station — his striking is legit, but getting taken down by Albini is a serious red flag. Luckily for him, he seems adept at riding out early wrestling troubles to pour it on late, as he did against Kovalev and the aforementioned Albini. Crowder — who has been knocked out three times and has major cardio problems — looks to be a perfect candidate for that strategy.
Crowder is more adept from top position than Albini and could certainly finish the fight before Rozenstruik gets going. If Rozenstruik can make it through the first five minutes, though, he should spark Crowder as soon as the latter starts too slow.
Prediction: Rozenstruik via second-round technical knockout

Anyone understands the moneyline on Aspen Ladd vs Germaine de Randamie.

Randamie is +145, and wont get taken down, most likely. I dont understand...And Ladd arguably lost against a weaker striking in Eubanks just weeks ago.

+145 for the clear favourite, someone explain....
