anyone else think Cowboy might have thrown one ?
I couldn't help but see this last night..
    Consider:

    - Cowboy didn't look right. Before the fight even started
you could see it in his eyes he was not hungry to win.
    - Cowboy kicks mostly ineffective, low
    - Cowboy took punches he usually weaves out of
    - Cowboy team told him to move his head instead of taking punches
    - Masivadal head shots were glancing blows and reach-extended
these types of punches don't typically send Cowboy reeling to the mat.
    - Cowboy footwork (slipping) suspiciously look like intentional flops.
    - Cowboy older now, 31-7 to 31-8 record does not matter so much.
    - Cowboy seemed disinterested and non-agressive.
    - Cowboy punches were light and not to the head of Masvidal.
    - Cowboy outspoken about low pay and benefits for UFC fighters
    - Masvidal has same frustrations, called out Dana White, said he
has 200k ready to bet on himself against anyone White can find.
    - Masvidal at good payout gave Cowboy and friends oportunity to
surreptisiously place bets on Masvidal without moving the line.
    - Masvidal himself could have cooperated - and kept quiet $.
-Cerrone is Italian surname, he must know some goombahs.

I will also say that when Nunes was brought into the octagon
immediately after the Shevchenko victory, that was 100% staged
and artificial.. they couldn't let her enjoy the win without being
harassed by Nunes for the pre-fight hype.

This arrangement smacked of WWE tactics, and WWE owns UFC now.

No. Cowboy gets paid so much he doesn't need the money. Sure, he complains about it but a bettor would have to pay him probably $1M+ to throw the fight, if he ever would.
Cerrone didn't look good vs Brown either, fighting stiff with a lack of head movement. He fought the same way vs Masvidal. Masvidal would also destroy Brown IMO.
Cerrone also isn't as hardcore of a fighter as he used to be. He's talking about having tailgate parties with bud light. I think Masvidal is a lot more hungry. Also, he has been getting a lot of wins at 170, that can make a fighter cocky like they can't be beat, even though Brown almost beat him.
Lots of smart guys said Masvidal would win, and I actually bet on Masvidal at the last minute. $200K is a lot for Masvidal because he hasn't had any big fights except this one.

Masvidal took the range Cowboy needs to land his strikes by apply forward pressure. Masvidal's boxing was superior against Cowboy. Cowboy always had problems against pressure boxers (Nate Diaz). It also seem Masvidal looked like the bigger fighter at fight time thus having an easier time absorbing Cowboy's shots. Cowboy needs rest. Back to back fights takes a toll especially as he gets older. Cowboys a savage but at the end of the first round, the fight is over.

Masvidal is a beast. He was very prepared for this and made Cowboy look very bad. I see him becoming more vocal now though. Everyone wants the big money fights.
