Problem is that Maia took down Laflare (which is a better wrestler than Brown). He obviously was williing to grapple with maia, which was a hopeless gameplan but Maia is only 2 takedowns away from victory in this fight, its to easy for him ending up as a winner. You have to pick your battles, and this isnt the fight on the card youre willing to do so. Its just not worth it. Last time you got maia at -120 or something? That was the correct price to take advantage, now its a dog or pass it situation, but youre kind of on the right side if youre playing. If brown comes in with a gameplan that completely and utterly disengage every clinch you have shot, but Browns mentality is not like that. He is a brawler by heart, which plays right into Maias gameplan of taking him down. Browns forward pressure may end up being his downfall, and he is waaaayy to stupid to understand. Dont expect him to solve this puzzle. Maia is a calculating brain, expect him to win by larger intellectual capacity. You can thank me later.

Yep Matty is an aggressive tall fighter whom never really had the greatest TD defense either in his MMA career.. He excels against strikers willing to stand and bang it out with him..

Maia should be able to take down Matt Brown very easily and the fight should be over if he can keep him down.. I'm sure Matty has a better gas tank the aging Maia but I don't think it will matter.... Besides, Maia has gone to decision in 6 of his last 7 fights and 2 of those were 5 rounders... This is only a 3 rounder..http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Demian-Maia-14637

Still loving Maia by Submission or by decision in this one.. DM's trip take downs, singles and ground control should be the difference in this fight..

Maia has taken down every WW and some MW's. His TD's are impressive. Brown gets taken down and he doesn't have that 1 punch ko power. He wears in you.

This fight is tailor made for Maia.

I agree.. Maia by sub makes the most sense..

I'm still thinking how I want to play this over all though.. Maybe I'll take Maia by sub as the big bet, splash a bit on Maia by UD, and then Brown straight just to hedge and cover all bets as insurance.. At +220 it's not a bad idea to hedge with straight plays when your playing props going the other way at +odds.. I've learned that the hard way as that can save your ass in a big way..

I still gotta work the numbers between all bets but I'm in no hurry as this fight isn't happening for a while.. I got nothing placed yet but the mind and wheels are spinning already for this fight..

Seems like he pulled the ripcord and just did that for a better reason to bail...

Amanda Nunes is scaring me. I have Miesha in several parlays. Miesha has to get out of the 1st but Nunes is so nasty in the 1st round. She fights like a dude.
