    Betting Questions
OK guys please excuse my ignorance but I have a question. I don't know all the betting lingo but I'm learning.

    Here's my question: Let's say I pick tate to beat HH. On 5Dimes Tate is a +300. If I bet $100 I win $300.

But there are 2 prop bets at 5Dimes:

Tate wins inside the distance +605
    Tate wins by Decision +520

If I put $100 on each prop bet (and don't bet straight up) I win $505 if Tate wins inside the distance ($605 minus $100 loss on Tate by decision.) Or I would win $420 if Tate wins by decision ($520 minus $100 loss on inside the distance.)

If I'm betting on Tate it doesn't seem to make sense to take her straight up since the prop bets pay significantly more and the outcome is guaranteed with the prop bets (if she wins.)

    Thoughts???

If HH wins you lose $200 playing both Tate props rather then just losing the $100 on the one straight bet at +300...

If you wanna risk $200 then you could play Tate Straight at +300 for $100 and then pick one of the 2 props for another $100.. If Tate wins you still get $200 in profit even if the prop bet loses.. If the props hits and the straight hits with Tate you then win $900 or so..

Capt I'd say your thinking is on when considering straight odds against prop odds for best value just keep working them... Hidden value everywhere with props..

Consistency is the most important thing.

If you can hit props consistently go for it.

Else, lowering profit margins to mitigate risk is the way to go.

Ok so the risk of losing $200 on the prop bets vs. losing $100 straight is why the odds are better on both props?

Sanity thanks for weighing in. My question is more about Understanding the bet more than anything else.

Let's assume Tate wins the fight (we have a crystal ball and Tate wins.) Why would I bet her straight if the props pay significantly more. Please read my 1st post.
