Obviously, Phil Davis beat Nog, and Rumble beat Davis, and Davis beat Gustafsson, and Gustafsson beat Hamill, and Hamill beat Tito, and Tito beat Bader, and Bader beat Nog, and Nog beat Mir, and Mir beat Lesnar, and Lesnar beat Couture, and Couture beat Belfort, and Belfort beat Rumble.

What is so hard to understand about that?

Style match ups, age (when rounding 40) and current activity determine winners in fights more then who beat who, when, where and how many years ago.. Think style match ups and current activity first I say.. Stats, history, trends, and maybe even streaks should come secondary in MMA... Camps and training partners are big too...

Anderson Silva and Michida are up in age and Brazilian as well just like Lil Nog and look what has happened to them against hot fighters in the UFC recently.. Just saying....

Fighting often is a good thing I believe, if Robbie was injured or banged up from fighting 3 times in 5 months he wouldn't have taken this fight on short notice.. Too much at stake... I think that probably benefits Robbie Lawler. He's staying active.. Rhonda Rousey wishes she could fight more often to keep her sharp... Most elite fighters will tell you this.

I heard no reports that Robbie Lawler is injured or banged up anyways leading into this fight... Or burned out... Besides that alot of fighters get more banged up training and sparring leading up to the fights then the actual fights themselves in alot of cases..

None factor I think....

Remember back in the early UFC days the fighters would have to fight several times in one night.. That was insane!!!

Robbie has a great kicking game and will barely use it. He could chop Brown to pieces with those kicks but these guys who feel they are great boxers always stick to the Boxing. Brown has a punchers chance but i wouldn't lay anything on him.

Yep wouldnt be surprising. However he did throw a lot of headkicks in previous fight against ellenberger.

Big value on Bermudez, IMO. He's a legitimate top 10 guy in terms of skill. Could give Poirier and Cub a run for their money, and he doesn't have any big gaps in his armour the likes of which Guida could usually exploit.

That second judge apparently gave Melendez a 10-8, then gave Guida every other round.

I agree, the rooster_eater just always manages to make his fights much closer than they should be, getting knocked down and brawling all over the place when he could play it safe. Guida ain't no pushover, and his wiggeling hair will always grant him at least 1 or 2 rounds he no doubt should loose.
He should get outstruck and outgrappled comfortably though, and threw 3 units on the -145 line.

If we can get Guida split, im gonna hit that for a little as well for a hedge.

I'm still undecided on many of these fights and still have to watch some video on the undercard fighters. So far I only locked in bets on the over 2½ rounds in the Thomson/Green fight and over 1½ rounds in the Johnson/Nogueira fight. For picks, I'm leaning towards Lawler ITD and Johnson, Guida & Thomson by decision. I also would like to bet Daron Cruickshank by knockout via head kick again.
