Liddell opened as a -160 favourite a few days ago, and he's now at -215
I see this as an easy fight for Liddell for a few reasons.
Coming off of a brutal KO loss to Evans, Liddell needs a good bounce-back fight to get him back into the win column.
Shogun used to be an amazing fighter, but that's all in the past now. He's not the same guy he used to be. Something about him isn't quite right. He doesn't seem as determined, or as vicious as he once was. From what I saw in his last fight against Coleman, his stand-up was sloppier than a hooker's you-know-what, and his cardio was worse than my grandmother.
Dating back further to his fight against Griffin, we saw another undetermined Shogun that was completely gassed and in no shape to fight at Forrest's level.
I'm not being biased here. Liddell has seen better days as well. He's lost 3 of his last 4 fights. The way I see it, Liddell will keep this fight on his feet as he's already stated that he wants to KO Shogun. Liddell's wrestling will allow stuff Shogun's sloppy takedown attempts. Liddell's cardio will definitely outlast Shogun. And Liddell's stand-up will let him get the KO win that the crowd wants to see. Good night Shogun!
*I think the odds will settle around -250 for Liddell
